I. . .agree with this. Terminator might be my favorite film of his, but his storytelling abilities reached their height in '86.

Speaking of which, the Aliens Minimates single packs were released recently. I just got them a few days ago. First Burke action figure ever made (probably also the first Wierzbowski and Spunkmeyer)!

Maybe the writers should have watched the other movies before writing the script and realised that making Sarah orphaned, raised by a Terminator and being "a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion" completely undermines her arc from the first movie.

The Abyss - IMO very good even if not his pinnacle
Terminator 2 - awesome
True Lies - great fun
Titanic - awesome (ewwww it's got a love story, teenage girls loved it - well teenage girls were right for once!!! It was a great film!! STFU!!!)

agreed, James Cameron is on a list of very few film makers who have yet to make a bad movie. Every movie he has made has been great, I don't care what people say about Titanic, it is a great film, it may not be for everyone but it's a great film.

It's got a bad rap because of the Celine Dion thing and the teenage girl fanbase back in the day but it's a ****ing immense film. About the only thing that would put me off it is if a ****load of fanboys started demanding multiple DiCaprio sculpts with rooted hair again and again and again, with none of them ever being good enough, and all the best customisers constantly being time-hogged to produce new ones.

Titanic is a pretty good film. It was before DiCaprio was cool, but the special effects were good, the ending was a bit silly because there was no need for Jack to die, but still, good film.

I don't think anyone is saying that he's made any bad movies. Its just that ALIENS was kind of his perfect movie in that it showcased all of his strengths but virtually none of his weaknesses. The Terminator and True Lies are good runner ups though.

Aliens is a fantastic film. An opinion of yours that I'm totally on board with. And yes probably one of his least sentimental films - there was the mother/daughter thing but it wasn't rammed in your face like the porn I'm about to watch......wait...
