The additional new pictures undoubtedly confirm Firefly is a MUST BUY and thus far the best of the figures from 3Z's line thus far.

I'll be pre-ordering multiples.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a deluge of Sideshow GI JOE Firefly figures being listed shortly.

If I can get an extra Sideshow Firefly at a thrifty price, I'll display it along with 3Z's iteration and refer to them as Firefly, Sr. and Firefly, Jr.

For all the criticisms right, wrong, and indifferent Sideshow's Baroness received, I believe she is still one of the best and only 1:6 female produced from the line.

I hope 3Z's iteration for Baroness captures the core visual design essence of the character with select modern nuances.

I agree, Sideshow's Baroness is a real beauty. Seeing how Threezero updated Firefly and made him look right out of the comics and even better than Sideshow's already impressive design, I'm hoping they can make an even prettier Baroness sculpt and update her weapons to look realistic and current etc. If Firefly is any indication, they'll do a great job.

The first few Threezero figures looked a little cheap (though still very cool) but Firefly looks expensive and very current. I'm hoping for a gorgeous hooded and chrome dome commander too and the rest of the Cobra gang. Sideshow did amazing work but these needed a serious upgrade and it looks like we're getting that. The weapons on Firefly look great too. Can't wait to set them up in a diorama

Don’t waste a release on baroness… ssc version is on point in so many ways.. to be honest all the cobra figures are pretty good overall. Bludd Zartan viper crimson guard all great versions

You're looking at things from your "wants" and not a business perspective. Baroness is an A list and would sell like hot cakes. Threezero needs big sellers to pay for the license. Firefly is A list too. Zartan and Destro and Commander all A listers to help pay the license. Make those A listers for everyone and then do B and C list in smaller quantities. I'd love to see a crimson guard and trooper, viper etc down the line. ThreeZero Baroness could blow Sideshow's out of the water. Sideshow's is gorgoeus but things can be improved with todays sculpt technology and a much needed update on weapons. Sideshow's weapons are VERY dated. Threezero need big hits to keep the line going, so I'll be all in if they look good, current, and not cheap. TZ Firefly is a stunning improvement and a definite purchase for me

IMHO, too many greedy and idiot eBay sellers listing Sideshow GI JOE figures at unrealistic prices along with overpriced shipping.

Some good reasonable deals can be found from time to time.

The majority of the listings repeat endlessly with no one paying the ridiculous prices.

During Christmas 2020 and 1ST QTR 2021, I scored some great deals on Sideshow GI JOE figures ranging from multiple MIB/NRFB COBRA Trooper, Officer, and Sniper figures along with a couple of Baroness, Firefly, and Storm Shadow figures. I lucked out before prices increased again.

It's a matter of patience.

Completely agree. As much as I've liked the sideshow figures, no way was I going to pay the current prices when I got mine. The current price for SS Baroness is just way too crazy and I was never fond of that headsculpt. I much preferred the one on the PF.

I got lucky on Mercari a couple years ago when someone was selling their SS figures for just not too much above retail. The only one I payed too much for was V2 Cobra Commander

Definitely looking forward to what 3Z Destro and hopefully Zartan end up looking like. Something along the lines of the Classified figures would be cool.

I do hope that if/when 3Z gets to Cobra Commander that they'll do the chrome on the headsculpt. I'd hope that they'd included the hooded headscupt too but 3Z isn't known for including a second headsculpt with their figures as far as I'm aware. Would probably have to wait for a variant for that.

Following in threezero's and Hasbro’s 1:6 scale G.I. JOE series is the COBRA Saboteur Firefly! No one knows Firefly’s true identity. He is an explosives expert and an accomplished pilot who is known for getting the job done.

Standing at 12” (30 cm) tall, the 1:6 Firefly collectible figure features our standard fully articulated body with carefully replicated tailored costuming with finely detailed camouflage pattern. 1:6 Firefly includes a sub-machine gun, pistol, combat knife, hand grenades, detonators, timebomb, biochemical bomb, backpack, and four sets of interchangeable hands. The combat knife can be sheathed in the right arm guard and the magnetic detonators can be attached to the left thigh armor for storage.

Based on the unveiled pictures so far, I'm wondering how/what you're going to "futz"/modify?

To me, my minor caveat is the choice of the sub-machine gun, but it's not a deal breaker or a major issue.

Firefly is the first one in this line that seems Average to me....but if continues to carry the lower price range (how do they do that ?), I'll still buy to support the line.
