So awesome to already see fan art like this. It's great that Snyder gave us such a cinematic first photo.

Yeah I think that summary is pretty perfect A-dev.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Better not be called "World's Finest", I've always hated that expression.

Also, if you swapped Batman and Superman around in that manip, you could parody the Titanic/Brokeback mountain style poster.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Great article.

They're wrong about Batman though, while the Jack Nicholson Joker pics didn't come out until after the teaser (the Herb Ritts photos), this was the first debut pic of Batman,

This was Christian Bale's,

It's incredible how that suit still holds up.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Just call it Batman vs. Superman and pass go for 1.5 billion.

The poster shouldn't feature them as two, star crossed lovers either. It better be some epic **** with Batman punching the **** out of Superman. Or Superman grappling Batman about to break his neck (because let's face it, he's certainly capable). Maybe have Wonder Woman as the "round" ring card holder girl in a skimpy dress in the background.

That's how you win an audience over.

Because I am not above shamelessly using someone's work who actually has skill with photo manipulation (whoever it was), I couldn't resist making this sig.:lol

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I wonder how their first conversation will go, what tone will it take. Are they gonna try to get us to laugh or is it gonna be total seriousness.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I'd imagine it being something along the lines of, "I'm Batman".

Hopefully he lifts Superman over a roof ledge.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I'm also highly pro Cranston as Gordon. Never wanted him for Lex (I wanted, unrealistically, DiCaprio), but he's a great fit for Gordon imo.
I also wanna know if Nightwing or Tim Drake are in this, it was said Batman didn't speak to either of them anymore because they disagreed with how he's handling things now.

This movie better beat Avatar's 2.7 billion. :lol

I just hope we get a ridiculous smart, "world's greatest detective" Batman. In the comics and cartoons, Batman has a magnificent brain. It's one of his best qualities. It's what gives him an edge over all the other super powered heroes. Please, no more of this

How to be the worlds greatest detective.
by Batman.

...

Chapter 1

Yell gravelly voiced at criminals to get information.

Chapter 2

Use expensive equipment to do the work for you.

End of Book.

A comment I read on io9, that I loved, was someone who said "Man of Steel isn't Superman: Year One, it's Superman: Day One." It's true, too. At best, this is Superman's first week on the job. That's why I think the movie's so, shall we say, "not fun," at times. It's a journey of self-discovery, and it's not a Superman movie; it's the story of how Clark Kent became Superman. I think the whole point of that film was that he wasn't the Superman we know. That's where the realism comes into play. I think we'll get the big, blue boyscout, but, unlike the books, I think the point they're trying to make is that he's got to grow into that character; he can't just be born that way I think that's where Zod's death comes into play. He's seen firsthand how killing feels, and he never wants to do it again; we see how that crippled him, emotionally, even though he was perfectly justified, considering the situation. With that in mind, I'm hoping and praying that Snyder has the vision to see that through, and to use that in this story. To me, Zod's death is the perfect in for Batman, which is why I'm against the folks who say that he's just there to make more money.

The circumstances of Zod's death don't matter; all that would matter, to someone as morally stagnant as Batman, is that, with the right amount of pressure applied, Superman is capable of taking life, and that makes him one hundred times more dangerous in Batman's eyes. With that in mind, we start to see that Superman that we know at the end of Man of Steel; Clark's wearing his glasses and working at the Planet, and Superman's on his way to becoming the hero that we all know. Man of Steel isn't the whole story, it's just Act One.

:clap :clap :goodpost:

I'm just excited if those two are acknowledged as existing in this universe. I would love to see them. It would be awesome to have a live action Hush or Under the Red Hood. Weren't their rumors that Nightwing was going to be in this movie?

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

@DFanatic Yeah that is without the biggest irony of Nolan's Batman.

I also feel Batman has no effing raison d'être in the JL if he isn't the brains behind everything.

I really wonder who will have more screentime, Batman, or Lex Luthor....

Seriously. Worse Batman ever.

Cranston would be a great Gordon. I hope the character is in the film, but if he's not they could save him for the eventual Batman spin off.

There was this article about these two actors in contention for the Nightwing role. Of the two, I prefer Penn Badgley by a longrun. Neither would be one of my top choices though. https://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=89822
