Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

LMAO this film won't touch the avengers 1.5 billion, the only thing that is going to touch 2.7 billion is when James Cameron decides to remake the Lion King featuring far out talking humoind lions on a distant planet and then claim he never saw the lion king "the lion king? I just love the jungle". Because apparently only james cameron gets to play with 2 billion, he's done it twice, and he will do it again.

It's F'ing Batman, of course it will make a billion. :lol

This movie has a pretty fat chance of out doing Avenger's Box office, in fact, I bet it will by quite a margin.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

IF this movie is good to great, I can see it surpassing Avatard box office.

Avengers 2 will also have a good chance, if good to great.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

It will be weird once the title finally is announced, I've gotten so used to calling it Batman Vs. Superman.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Calling it "World's Finest" or even "World's Best" would be no different than calling a Cap/Iron Man movie "Tales of Suspense." As a classic comic geek, I would love it, but it would be kind of dumb for the studio, considering most of the audience will have no clue where it's coming from, and it's a title that doesn't make as much sense for modern times, when we don't have these fabulously over the top comic titles.

But yeah, if it's a ****** movie it might not matter much anyway.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

It's not dumb at all, Batman vs Superman is not Iron man nor Captain, people WILL know.

But, really at this point I don't really mind whatever they do, I'd prefer that addressed Superman's protagonist over everyone else.

Save the worlds finest for another movie.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

That's a lame title. Besides, the Average movie-goer doesn't even know what "Worlds Finest" means.

Average Joe would figure it out pretty fast as they would presumably have the shared Batman/Superman logo on the poster. Hell they could call it Man of Steel: World's Finest.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

"Superman/Batman:Worlds Finest;" I could dig it. Anything else with "World's Finest:" **** that. I'm not big on the World's Finest thing, anyway. At this point, they might as well call it "Batman vs. Superman," since you won't get any backlash. People start *****ing and Snyder can just say "what are you *****ing about? You're the ones who came up with it.":lol

Never will it top avatard they have to charge you more for a ticket I say a good $40 and I don't see that happening.

It's going to have to be a pretty special movie to reach two billion, B Vs S will make a billion, but I doubt it'll do much more than that. and Avengers two will probably make 1.7 billion but that's because of how strong the last few marvel films have played and been received. My point of view for superman and batman is that they don't play that big to the WW crowd like they do in america, they usually split pretty close to the middle, 40% domestic and 60% foreign while most other super hero movies or films that play to the WW crowd are more like 30% / 70% splits. Even though those films will be massive hits they won't even do titanic business, close, but I'll be shocked if avengers hits 2 billion and B vs S gets 1.5 billion. Not that it's actually a big deal as anything over a billion dollars for either film will be a massive success. I'd like to see both studios chugging along making comic book films.
