Looking at all of the pictures, I still am not sold, but I do see a diamond in the rough. For example, how does he wear the pack? Does it peg onto the vest? There’s a lot of rubber/ flexible pvc being used. I know that cuts down on the costs of the figure, but I’m not sold on RB. Where I will really be paying attention is Firefly. I see some great design concepts in the gear, but I will have to think about how much work I want to invest in the figure. But then again these figures are also great starting points for custom figures!

Speaking of the devil…pending more pictures, Firefly may be my first 3Z purchase.

Yeah, this is my main problem, going back to Storm Shadow. There is an air of. . .cheapness to the whole thing somehow. Roadblock's vest is just bad to my eyes. I'll consider Firefly, depending on the other pics, but I hope he will seem like more of a quality release than the prior figures.

This might get expensive.😬

I'm glad someone is making 1/6 Gi joe figures again, but these look just so cheap the older Sideshow figures still look better.

I'd rather them do something similar to what Hot toys did with the clone wars line and spend more, roadblock looks like one of those $30 older 12-inch gi joes you could get at Toys R Us and this still is not cheap for $169.99

They started out at $145 which was awesome. I thought they looked a little cheap in pics too but once I got them on the shelf that all went away. It’s like taking the 3.75” figures and magically turning them into 12” figures that look like my kid mind pictured them to be. 😁

Your pics are what made me get these and these two definitely look better than the old Sideshow ones in my opinion. I'm going to need to get another base for Firefly from you. I'm not sure I'm getting Roadblock yet unless they do a variant.

Same here for Roadblock. I’ll snag the original look but I don’t have much interest in this one.

So who is next?

So far, Roadblock (JOE) and Firefly (COBRA).

That leaves Duke, Lady Jaye, Scarlett (JOEs).

Baroness and Destro (COBRA).

If following the prior reveal pattern, it'll be a JOE.

I hope it's Lady Jaye or Scarlett so we can see threezero's design/take on the female characters.

Based on the remaining characters, the 2022 line up looks solid and we'll likely see exclusive variants as well.

Makes me wonder what the line up will be for 2023 if threezero planned that far ahead? Will they still have the license for 2023 and beyond?

Speaking of licenses, have they announced who will have the G.I. Joe (and Transformers) comic book licenses now that IDW is losing them at the end of the year?

No clue.

My guess is it'll be an existing publisher with a pitch that'll win them the license along with enough $ to pay for the license or possibly a new publisher.

I recollect reading Robert Kirkman (creator/writer of THE WALKING DEAD comic series and business partner at Image Comics) supposedly is pursuing the license himself under his own publishing umbrella.

How cheap you want it, man? And have you purchased any/seen firsthand? For a licensed product in 2022, these prices are not out of hand. In fact, I think Hot Toys should be in this range but they got out of control long ago.

There are some slight miscues but overall I think these are already better than what Sideshow provided - and 3Z is just getting started on this. And I know what they're capable of having seen the Walking Dead figures.

So far my biggest gripe....are the VOCs the 3Z figures put off o_O

P.S. - those of us that still have Sideshow figures....these fit in quit well with those

I'm not put off by the figure's design, but surprised by the choice of weaponry. I truly hoped they would use the same sub-machine gun as the first/original 3.75" figure, but then again it's modern aesthetics.

The figure's key saving grace is the camouflage full outfit with matching head sculpt and the demo backpack.

Hey, so like I said in my post roadblock looks like a $30 12 inch Gi joe that was sold at Toys R Us, while this figure is asking for $170 at BBTS and I see no quality in this release compared to the other Gi joes by ThreeZero. I also said I'd rather them be more expensive and at least touch sideshows quality however, I understand this is the look that ThreeZero is going for and I respect that as this is their vision for a Gi joe figure but in my opinion, I'd prefer them to go with a mix of comic and realism like Hot toys did with clone wars or even what sideshow did. :)
