Just watched this on disney+.

Man, what a goofy movie. I wonder how many hours of filming consisted of the actors just flailing around on set pretending to fight CGI monsters.

Enough about that, how was the THRUSTING?

Did you really BELIEVE you were watching actual penetrative sexual intercourse in a Marvel movie?

Or was it just more fake rubbery cartoon physics, like the falling in Black Widow?

Today's the day it's free on D+!!! The greatest Marvel MCU movie yet!! :yess:

Yeah, I can't wait to watch this!! :blissy

That is, after I eventually get around to watching Black Widow 1st (which may be like never)..... :rotfl

I literally have no desire to watch this even though it’s now free.
I started to watch it last night. I only watched for about 30 minutes before turning it off. It's a really weird film. There is, like, NO narrative hook. I'm not really sure why any of us are supposed to care about any of these characters. I'll finish it, but I need a lot more drugs.

Should have made a mutants movie instead of trying to give us zlist characters nobody cares to see. Super heroes that don’t want to interfere in affairs of humans for years suddenly do cause… it’s convenient for them . Lol

I also refuse to waste my time with this crap even though it's free.

I WILL, however, sit through it for money.

That's it right there isn't it. Why should we be interested in these super-dooper newbs who were apparently there all along and never bothered to help because reasons. It's almost insulting. That and they all just look boring as ****.

I wonder about X-men (the world of Mutants), Blade (the world of Vampires) and the Fantastic Four and how they're going to be brought in. I feel like the first two are going to have to be multi-verse related. They're just too broad a phenomenon to only be revealed as existing to the world now despite having always been there. So I feel like the explanation must be that they weren't always there. Fantastic Four, I guess, could simply have had a late (recent) origin

I didnt love this movie but it was still better than captain marvel, black widow, incredible hulk, and thor the dark world.

I liked the super deviant more than the heroes though.

I dont mind wokeness in films, but it feels like its rammed down my throat at times warching this. Its not any different than the girl power shot in endgame I guess.

This would have been better as a disney plus series where they could just give an episode per character and then a 3 part finale.

I did feel the villains plot takes a bit from warchmen, (killing some to save many) it isnt bad but isnt new either.

Mutants are the biggest problem. Blade/Vampires/Supernatural stuff were never big news. The paranormal is always hidden in the shadows and operates in the fringes of society. The FF could've been lost in space/some alternate dimension, which is what I imagine they'll go with. Mutants are a legitimate issue considering how many of them there are and the way the whole concept works.

Anyway, I watched this. At 3.0x speed. Pretty uneventful movie. Some nice shots, but everything else was stocky. Arishem's appearance at the end I found needless, and that it kinda robbed Galactus of his big entrance. Apart from that, it's just a silly movie. There's no logic to the very existance of these characters and their appearances and backstories. I honestly find "dood, [culture] was actually [aliens] all along!11!!1" type of stories to be insulting. So there's that. I hope it's memoryholled, if I'm being honest. Crowe's Zeus in Thor 4, so I hope we get a proper Pantheon and this nonsense is forgotten. The only thing of worth in this entire thing was the Dane/Blade zinger.

PS: Is nobody talking about how a literal massive structure is affecting the Earth's gravity, relation to the Moon and everything else that follows? This is literally cartoon logic we're operating here on. Unless they showed Tiamut disintegrating or something and I missed it, this is a genuine worldbuilding error.

Mutants, to me, are an easy fix. Surely being reintegrated after the Thanos snap caused SOME genetic abnormalities, right? I can see MCU mutants being a result of the snap. No non-involvement explanation needed, and it could add an edge to why they are so hated and feared when other metas are super-celebrities.

Then how do we explain Apocalypse, Logan, Selene, Xavier and so on and forth? Is every single Mutant going to be from [current day]? Nah, there's waaaaay too much lore in the X-Verse. That's more or less the same with AoS Inhumans, and it was underwhelming. You need the "superior race of the future/children of the atom" angle to properly do the X-Men, otherwise they're just another group of metas. I want Sinister going on tirades about Scott having to creampie Jean for the survival of the Mutant Race; nothing else will suffice.

This was THE ONLY MCU movie I missed in the theater yes I even went to BW yuck.

While it was certainly better than BW it was also pointless like BW.

The whole grand design of the celestials didn’t make a lick of sense lol

Why would humans be the power supply for the growing celestial when the core of the spinning earth (or any planet for that matter) is putting out way more energy than any human cell could ever accomplish, so dumb.

It was The Matrix but this time the robots were living the lie.

Darthkostis got in before me. Many mutants are old with a long history of being mutants. It can't be a new phenomenon to them but it will somehow be a new phenomenon to the rest of humanity in the MCU - so that's why I'm saying it would have to be a multiverse thing. They're coming in from another alternate Earth (unless something in Spiderman NWH precludes that - I still haven't seen it).

Turtle882 raises an interesting point though that in the context of all other super-powered individuals in this universe - and how embraced they are - there needs to be an explanation for why mutants are held in suspicion/hated, if indeed they still want to use that. Would it be because they are immigants from another Earth and for whatever reason can't be sent back?

Or again am I making silly speculation that is already ruled out by something I haven't seen yet in Spiderman NWH.

I might have to download it and find the thrusting scene just to make a gif.

I'll count the thrusts, too. I think there's only a certain amount of thrusts allowed by the MCAA to keep it PG-13.
