1/6 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS590 - Venom - Venom Collectible Figure

Love the look of this figure but other than the price point and the (admittedly understandable) lack of an emblem, my main concern is the durability of the material. I hate the thought of getting an expensive figure over a statue only to keep it in a static pose or risk damage. It’s prevented me from getting Spider-Man and Vader figures in the past and it has me worried here, too. How safe is this guy to pose? Will he start peeling after a few years? Would love to have him on my shelf but not sure I’d be willing to drop $300 on something that isn’t going to last.

If it did peel I guess you could try fixing it or pretending its anti-venom.

Watched this movie for the first time the other night and yeah definitely deserving of its 30% tomato rating. But was surprised to learn Hot Toys basically just made up these accessories for the figure? Spoiler warning for anyone who cares but

the little heads off his back never make an appearance, and not only does the sword weapon belong to the other symbiote but it's also the other symbiote who features the axe hand (and two of them at at that). If Venom also had the axe hand I missed it.

Saw a photo on Reddit that some one posted of their Venom’s arm. The paint had rubbed off or flaked after just a few poses. It looked silver or grey underneath.

Yea they definitely took some liberties with the design of the figure. Which I like tbh

Hunted down the pic to see for myself and a few things of note:

1. I honestly don't think the blemish looks that bad - easy enough to miss unless one is looking for it.

2. That poster has had the figure for at least three days because he also has a three-day old post sharing photos.

3. I suspect he may have left the arm bent past 90 degrees overnight and that's what did it. Could always ask!

I have to disagree with you about the Tomato rating. No way does this thing warrant a score over 10%.

I went on to look up the figure, I don't need to order it I already had my order down for him I just go to check the images and when I got one the page I get a pop up notification from them saying that "he's going to sell out soon only a few left" maybe it's like what they did with endgame Cap where his preorder sold out and then he went back up, but you can never be sure.

Most other sites probably still have him. But SS might be doing it so people can get on the movie hype so they say it's sold out. Regardless better safe then sorry I say, you haven't preordered him yet?
