Is this now the next most logical release? I think they'll leave Fennec for nearer the Book of Boba so that she covers both shows. Crosshair clearly was a work in progress. I can't imagine the Night Owls releasing before this. The ROTJ Scout Trooper probably won't release until the Mando one sells out. I feel the Super Battle Droid may not get past the prototype stage. So, that leaves this and the Battle Droid. Will they put another S.T.A.P out before Anakin releases? I have my doubts. Cobb Vanth this week then.

You’re probably right. She’s one they could release at any time and she’d sell. Let’s face it she never changes her clothes anyway haha. It’s probably a toss up between Fennec and Cobb Vanth. Watch it go and be Wrecker or something to spite us all.

I'm kinda thinking - dont know why - that we've seen a lot of Fett armor lately, and they may hold this release for a bit so they wont have quite so many people wearing the same armor up for PO all at once.

I hate you guys have all good points because I want Cobb Vanth more than damaged armor Fett right now.

Repainted Fett is definitely #1 for me but yeah, I would’ve rather have gotten Cobb Vanth before the Boba one with the same armor.

This is the company that pumps out multiple Iron Man, Spider-man, and Mandalorian figures at the same time, I don't think they'd think twice about putting another Fett armour out One thing we should know about this company is they always keep you on your toes and do the least expected things. Nope, I'm still riding that Cobb Vanth train until it reaches the station... then I'm switching my fixation to Greef Carga.

Some of those characters that never change outfits, ie: Rey, you gotta imagine how ripe those clothes are after day in and day out in the desert.

The unmasked head is what is going to sell Cobb Vanth, not the armor. I wouldn't be surprised if it's intentionally removable to recreate the look from the flashback.

Yep, I don't buy the armour argument so much either. From a manufacturing point of view it's easier for them to pump out a few thousand more parts while the tool is still good, and paint apps done while they still have tooling setup and line workers have "practice" at those particular parts.

For me he needs to come out soon, as the look with armour was a one off from S2. Of course no longer now going forward. So if he shows up somewhere else he'll have a different look.

I just hope they were working on the headsculpt before the con and not waiting for the response to the figure at the con before starting on it.

Does anyone know how long it takes to make a headsculpt? Is it a process which can be done in a couple of days? Does it take a couple of weeks? I can imagine it'll take some time for the licenseholders to approve the sculpt because I'm guessing there is some bureaucracy in that.

Defintely weeks. I recall someone from HT said a sculpt in production takes up to a week to go through all the paint processes. Sure they're doing thousands at a time.

But for a new one definitely weeks. Especially where they have no base like for Temura Morrison etc

Yeah for me the headsculpt makes or breaks it. I do love how Cobb looks in Boba's armour. Personally I think he wears it a lot more like Jeremy Bulloch than Tem Morrison does. Tall and thin vs short and stocky.
However, that exact version of the armour is on the deluxe Boba, which I've PO'd, so I don't think I'd get him just for the armour.
If the option is there to display him without Boba's armour I'd probably do that.
Make him a bit different from the many Fetts on the shelf.

it might actually be a month or more. I do not have much experience sculpting. I can tell you that the smaller it is, the more difficult and then you have to factor in tweaking the likeness. But with experts like HT employs who do this all the time, who really knows. Then you have to see if the licensor likes it...

I agree, it may be an unpopular opinion but Boba was skinny and Vanth looks more like his OT appearance. I still love Temuera’s portrayal and look as Boba though.

I really hope that in the post-ESB flashback scenes, that Temuera alluded to, that they use someone a little leaner in the costume.

Temuera should still be good to play Jango in flashback scenes. Something I’m certain we’ll see, showing him training young Boba. Further exploring that father son dynamic between Jango and Boba is going to be key to giving Boba more humanity I think. He’s been getting in to shape recently and with a bit of digital de-ageing they can convincingly pull it off. Jango was always stockier than Boba, so it’s all good there for helmet off scenes.
