it is just my personal head canon now that clone armour and weaponry was produced by multiple manufacturers resulting in differences and each trooper may have more than 1 set of armour during their career. only way to really make it make sense

We will just have to think of the Lucas era style armour as Kamino factory made and all other versions as being from other factories within the republic. It is basically already my headcanon for how Stormtrooper armour varies so much so just gotta apply it to clone armour too now. Each phase of clone armour full of sub variants due to different production runs, running alterations, differing production facilities, local specialisation requirements, gradually varying of clone clones due to local environments, roles, diets, injuries etc etc etc. instead of phase 1 and phase 2 being 2 distinct versions of armour/helmets it is more a full spectrum divided arbitrarily at the point where phase 2 style helmet and lighter armour became standard

I really like the Phase 2 helmet on this figure especially the visor, I wish the original Rex had a helmet more like that. I won't be picking this up though as I prefer the body on the original Rex, and this new Rex wouldn't match the rest of my clones as well with its brighter blue & different armour style. Still very nice though!

I much prefer the Clone Wars version for phase 2. The phase 1 look for this will work well with the Clone Wars Anakin and Obiwan figures whose costumes are from this era of the Clone Wars. I'm really hoping for a younger Ahsoka to complete the gang. My preference would be the season 3-5 outfit for her, but I'm fine with the Tales of the Jedi/Ahsoka outfit as well.

After a few years of not much that interests me figure wise, this year has been amazing for reveals and PO's. Too much for me

Once again I am going to remark: IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK that when we are looking at a named trooper, that his numeric designation appear on the nameplate as well? Is CT-7567 Captain Rex just TOO MUCH for the engraving device?
