Oh wow it's been already a little over a year since this was solicited!

I'm curious to see how it compares to the Armory. I think the Armory holds up fine to this day, even with current figures. I have him in the mix with some of the newer figures and I think it fits in.
That year as flown by, feels like barely six months!

I'm hoping he releases soon so I can decide whether to get the Batpod or not before it sells out. Right now my only 1/6 Nolan trilogy figure is a recently released Daft Toys Alfred.

Yeah crazy how time goes by, yet when waiting for a release it seems like an eternity :lol

I'm also eyeing the batpod too! My first 1/6 vehicle was the Mando Scout Speeder, so I'm feeling very inclined.

You know, part of the reason I've changed to waiting on a figure to release is so I'm no longer waiting for eternity. When something comes out, it's a happy surprise.
Not sure if I should wait if Queen Studios comes out of their own or just PO this one... Need something to match against Queen Studios Joker.
That is the dilemma now, unfortunately. Before, you either got the HT one or not. Now, you gotta think about waiting for someone else to potentially make one you may like more than what's currently offered.

The DX19 cowl is a MASSIVE upgrade over any previous dark knight hot toy cowls.
In 1:6 at least, I can’t quite tell if it’s any different than the 1:4 cowl. Excited to see in hand.

I’m fortunate that figures are legitimate business expenses for me and I buy and sell so much I don’t have to think too much about individual purchases.

If that weren’t the case I’d be pretty torn here. Queen studios knows Hot Toys is releasing this DX19 pretty much right now. They may only be issuing this Joker because they know Hot Toys isn’t doing a new one and these new DX19 customers might want one. So if you don’t have a TDK Batman or Joker, do you get the DX19 and InArt? Or do you only get the InArt and hope there’s an InArt Batman?

I think I’d still go with the sure bet of having the DX19 and InArt and sell the DX19 if InArt really knocks it out of the park.

I’d definitely want to wait and see if InArt does a Bale Batman before pulling dah triggurh,,, on the DX19. At this point I’d rather give my money to a company that actually gets it right the first time and doesn’t need YEARS of failed attempts before finally making something good.

I want to think that’s unfair but honestly a lot of the issues with Hot Toys releases come down to art direction vs actual execution. It feels like they too often stop at “good enough” when a few tweaks could have made it perfect. They have infinite access to Google and reference photos and could have easily done a better job over the years if they cared to focus on that last 2% of tweaking the design to get it just right.

I guess I don’t ultimately know if the artists have just not quite been getting it there or if business decisions have been stoping any further tweaks once the higher ups see “good enough”.

I understand the hype of the Joker figures being done by Viper but why is there such confidence in QS making a great Bale Batman?

Their 1/3 statue looks pretty bad if you ask me.

I actually have it and looks amazing in person. Better than any HT attempt IMO. It isn't perfect, that's for sure. The Perfect TDK Cowl does not exist in collectible form yet, but this will do.

Funny to think that the best tdk cowl was made by SSC in their premium format. The paint and everything else was crap IMO.

In the movies is the batman begins cowl and dark knight cowl the same? Just that begins has a big neck attached

I always thought the Begins and Dark Knight cowls looked very similar - just with the Begins one being a bit more thicc with a solid neck.

The biggest difference I know of is Bale’s breathing. :lol

The gloves have cuffs in The Dark Knight, but in Rises they’re tucked into the suit. Hot Toys always includes the glove cuffs anyways, so this would work as a Dark Knight Batman.

I feel like they make slight imperfections on purpose. Then we have to buy a new version in a few years. They know we are lunatics.
