I just find the whole Snyderverse unintentionally hysterical. Every film I saw in theaters was full of laughter at dramatic moments, from Pa Kent’s bad parenting and suicide by tornado, to the weird kiss while Metropolis crumbled, to the neck snap, to Clark smashing billions of dollars of government satellites and promising he’s a good guy… and that’s the “good” film.

By the time of BvS, it was even funnier. “Martha!” “Why’d you say that name?!”, the pee jar, whatever the heck Lex’s character was supposed to be, the computer that already gave the monitored supers logos…

I can’t hate the Snyder movies. They crack me up. They’re exactly the type of movies an edgy dudebro who has only read Watchment, TDK, and The Death of Superman, and misunderstood the message of them all, would think the characters are like. They’re the kind of major whiff that so completely misunderstands the most basic values of these characters, but really knows how to xerox a page to the screen and thinks that’s what being comic-accurate means, and Snyder then basks in his own genius as some sort of auteur with a pure vision of grounding these gods, aliens, and guys in animal outfits in the “real world”. “We killed Jimmy! For fun!” It’s hysterical in its audacity.

I take Batman & Robin more seriously. I only raise an eyebrow at folks who do take all the Snyder films at face value as the “definitive” film versions of these characters. I’m beyond amused the biggest box office success of the DCEU wasn’t Supes or Batman or the team-up, but the fish guy.

It's weird to me that Zack would make an event for fans that raises money for charity then clout chasers announce Snyderverse restored and it's Zack's fault.

Fans of something wanting more of that something is expected. I see Alita fans campaigning for a sequel. More power to them. I don't spend ANY of my time being concerned about what they are doing or what the result will be. At least they are spending time doing something they care about NOT spending time on things they don't.

If I see anything on social media I don't want to see I mute it.

If Zack is asked about what his plans were or if he would like to continue does anyone expect him to lie purely to make haters feel better? How secure can these haters be that they get so upset about it all?
Something they care about ? Like being toxic online. I mean hey you can like what you like. My problem with them is that they attack other people and get upset when you don’t like his work. Then they call you a “hater” cause you want something better. But hey if that’s normal for you then ok.

There's not much point in me commenting on the rest of what you said, we disagree on a fundamental level.

Spider-Man, in his first solo MCU movie and the 3rd team-up movie, were beaten by the cat guy.

Maybe stop attacking something they like all the time. We get it, you don't like it.

I’m… not sure what that has to do with the Snyder movies.

Nothing unusual about Panther there. Panther’s gotten the best of Spider-Man since 1979’s “Marvel Team-Up #87”. No idea why people always underestimate T’Challa. He put Silver Surfer in a vice-grip.

It was an example of a well-known character with many successful moves being beaten by one not well-known in movies.

What? Whose attacking. You say you like the Batman and the Snyder cult goes rabid. You say you don’t like the snyderverse and the cult goes rabid. Maybe take accountability for your actions? And accept people’s opinions? Not everyone has to like everything you do. Respect is a two way street.

Spider-Man a 16 yr old kid who just got his powers last year vs a grown man who trained all his life
Also they didn’t fight in the movie. They were on the same side.

Nice try

It is a two way street. It goes the other way but you are only complaining about one side, the side you don't agree with.

What are you talking about lol. Are you saying I should complain about the non toxic fanbase too? Ok. Anyway

I've no idea what you are getting at here.
Yea I’m sure judging from the post you made. But I argued with you enough about the Snyder dude. If you wanna think that way it’s fine. I’m not gonna go back and forth again lol

BvS was a fun movie. I never felt like revisiting it more than once, but it was fun. I thought it was a fantastic encapsulation of the grimdark early 90s DC books I read as a teen. I think DC really struggled in that period and the only thing that seemed to set them apart from Marvel was that they were the "dark and gritty" guys ever since Watchmen and Dark Knight, and all their books reflected that. I read the issue of Green Lantern where John Stewart comes home to find his wife butchered on the floor, so he loses it for a bit, ends up murdering an ENTIRE PLANET in Cosmic Odyssey. Then Hal Jordan goes nuts and graphically murders the entire GL Corps. New Green Lantern Kyle Rayner comes home and finds his girlfriend's body stuffed into a fridge. Man, what mental issues were they working through in the GL office??

If Snyder grew up reading DC books in that era, it's no wonder he thought shooting Jimmy Olsen in the head was "fun."

I think the point @T8OO is trying to make Wez Is that you seriously go out of your way to make it known you dislike the Snyder stuff. We get it man. You call the fans toxic but your posts can come across pretty toxic yourself. It just seems counterintuitive to dedicate so much of your time to talk about things you hate. :lol We’ve talked about this before, EVERY fanbase out there has toxic fans, so I’m not sure why you’re so caught up on this particular one. This isn’t a personal attack against you or anything, just an observation.

For the record, if we're just informing everyone about stuff we hate, I thoroughly despise the Disney Star Wars movies with every fiber of me being to such an indescribable level of contempt that my pure hatred will haunt the earth for decades as a formless cloud of negativity.

If you like those movies, it's OK...I don't hate you or anything, but I will silently judge you and think to myself "man.....I'm am sooooo much better than this guy..."
