He is DEFINITLEY going to be in the MCU, how are you even questioning this? In the post credits scene he is literally transported into the MCU and sees Tom Holland on tv. Implying that he wasn't in the MCU in his own world. That was probably part of the deal between Feige and Sony, that they can crossover, but this Venom actually doesn't come from the MCU and instead comes from a different cinematic universe. This also lines up with Feige saying Spidey is the only hero with the ability to "swing between cinematic universes". And the reason that he's transported into the MCU will most likely be explained in No Way Home or Multiverse of Madness as it looked like some Doctor Strange multi-verse stuff going on. Venom LTBC also just made an absolute fortune at the weekend box office as well, so Feige is probably very happy right now as he knows people will line up to see Spidey fight Venom.

The main thing to remember is that Sony owns far from home. They don’t need permission to do anything with that movie. Assuming that because they showed that, that there was some agreement made between Fiege and Sony was a mistake.
Your perspective is one way to look at it. Ask yourself why they’re not advertising the hell out of venom showing up. It would skyrocket the box office for venom 2 and people would be even more hyped for no way home. They’re not doing that because he’s not in it and there are not actually any plans.
There’s one movie left on Tom Holland’s contract after this with marvel. It’s not even scheduled yet. That’s your only chance at a crossover approved by both parties and it’s YEARS away.
The other option is that the deal runs out and Holland gets pulled out of the mcu to star in the Sony ******** movies. That’s still not the mcu.
Also, the footage in venom is hilarious. It’s clearly b-roll. They did not film Tom Holland for this. What is he even doing? Standing publicly without his mask looking all shifty eyed and not speaking lol. It’s so obviously forced. It does not seem like fiege is on board with this at all.

it honestly sounds like you don’t like the prospect of the Sony movies being mcu and connected . So you’re in deep denial. I don’t like Sony either. But to say this venom isn’t in the mcu and won’t meet this Spider-Man after that end credit scene is hilarious.

Come on are you serious? Daredevil wasn’t even in 1 mcu movie or ever mentioned. Venom is seen actually looking at the mcu Spider-Man and transported to that universe. Remember when Holland drunk dialed Iger and probably sobbingly cried into the phone about the SM3 deal? Sony was going to take the reins and Holland knew exactly what that meant. Venom is a full Sony movie and Holland SM is not. I'm saying is don't expect to see Venom in NWH, the end. Sony could certainly want one thing and Feige another. Feige has to deal with Sony in order to play with Spider-Man.

What you don't understand is that this might be the last MCU Spider-Man movie AND appearance and you are getting SonyVerse with Morbius, Spider-Woman, Sinister Six, Kraven, Venom. I just don't want you crying at this end of this movie when Venom doesn't show up.

Not to play devils advocate, but if I recall, they’re are still a couple loose ends in the MCU as far as end credit teasers go. But I’m sure something will pan out with the whole multiverse thing now.

The Venom MCU stuff is as bad as all the Cox Daredevil rumors. The amount of speculation out there for some Youtube ad dollars is and has been quite ridiculous. This crap is the same level as those celeb mags at the grocery counters.

Say what you will about Daredevil rumors since those involve projects that have yet to release and therefore unproven, but Venom isn't really up for debate anymore. It's already happened.

Maybe he'll be in No Way Home, maybe not, maybe that Venom2 post-credits setup was instead for a later movie. (I'm currently guessing it's a set-up for another later movie, and he might get a post-credits in No Way Home.) But regardless, Venom has entered the MCU. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be chatting up Captain America any time soon, his involvement will likely remain limited to Spidey's corner of New York, but from a canonical story point of view he is currently in the MCU, just as Spider-man is, despite both being owned by Sony.

In later replies you seem fixated on whatever legal agreements are in place behind the scenes while everyone else is simply talking about what actually matters to the viewers, the story. Tom Hardy's Venom character is currently factually part of the MCU canon now. And if I had to guess, I think Marvel probably has story control over him during his appearances within any MCU media, however limited they may be. Similar to what is agreed for Spidey (which would obviously not apply for any appearances outside the MCU, like the first two venom movies or morbius etc.).

Ummm... Coulson is in a bunch of MCU movies... Then he leads Shield in ABC's AOS (also Thor's Sif was in an episode with the same actress too). Way more connections in the 1st 2 seasons of AOS referencing Avengers and the events in Cap's the TWS with Hydra even effecting the course of the TV show.
