Well dang....now I wish I hadn?t got the toys era cable...oh well

I don't mind too much considering the exclusive from Sideshow will run almost $300. I had thought about picking it up and getting the parts I want and selling the rest, but it's a lot to drop.

I've seen posts to that effect but a little hard to believe Disney would walk away from a billion $ movie series.

From the bit I've read, it sounds more like they're just finding a way to make it happen rather than outright canning Deadpool. He's the easiest tool for them to do that as he effectively transcends universes and timelines anyway.

I could see them bringing Brolin back too all things considered. Deadpool as is is straight cash money to Disney, Disney just needs to stretch into R ratings for the MCU. And all things considered, I think Deadpool is probably the license to do it with because people know that's what it's going to be.

From what I'd heard on various Hollywood Youtubers, Disney's main issue is wanting a PG rated Deadpool/DP3 and not R-rated. That way they could also integrate him into other MCU movies more easily.

Fans and probably Ryan Reynolds don't want that. So it's a bit of a stalemate situation at the moment. No doubt something will be worked out.

Personally I would hate a PG Deadpool.

Hmmm. I don't see why that should be such a big deal? Deadpool doesn't need to be R rated when he shows up with other folks. That can be half of the gag, he has to watch his behavior. Solo films not "under" the Disney banner carry on as usual. Disney isn't dumb, they know Deadpool's success is cut on how crude he can be, so it seems counter intuitive to try to limit that. That's half the benefit of the Fox acquisition, they should be able to expand their MCU without tainting the family friendly part.

Yep, I had always assumed Deadpool would continue under the 20th Century Studios branding (I think that is what they changed the name to) not Disney.

Well, Disney openly puts themselves as the owners of Family Guy now, so wouldn't surprise me if they did eventually get into R rated Deadpool movies. Honestly, there's no way they looked at all the Fox properties they were buying and didn't think they'd have to get into the R rated territory at some point.

Cable is up for Pre-order! There is an exclusive edition with the shield!

$270. Came out to $309 after taxes and shipping

Earliest shipping estimate is Q1 2022

F Sideshow, I dislike them enough...and don't care for the "bonus" accessory enough to buy from them.

I'm a box collector after all, so the accessories don't even matter to me! :lol

That’s what Touchstone Pictures was for (Disney’s R-rated subsidiary — whatever happened to that....)

These are the type of releases you should be throwing reward points at - assuming you like/want the figure. It's a somewhat "regular priced" figure with a relatively lower shipping cost. I used $60 in rewards and am getting the exclusive for @$242 shipped, which these days is a good deal. Depending on what's being offered, I'll do that 2 or 3 times a year, after which I switch to other retailers out there with better deals.

The fact that you needed to use $60 in reward points JUST to get it down to $242, which is still pricey, is a ridonkulous! But hey, you do you brotha! That extra shield accessory, while cool looking, is not a must-have for me.

My only fear right now is HT is gonna drop the ball with a downgraded sculpt when it's eventually released! :gah:

I preordered the Special Edition. I probably wont use the shield but Ill have the choice and itll resell better if I decide to get rid of it.

I wholeheartedly agree which is why I only use them on "normal" figures now, as I'm not using them solely to offset high shipping and tax costs. I'm generalizing a bit with respect to the shipping cost, but usually the high ticket items are bigger and/or heavier and therefore cost more to ship, and since Sideshow also taxes the shipping....well you do the math. :lol

Lol indeed...I've done the math and the answer to that equation always = PCZ! :lol
