Good for you, really. I can see why people would like it. Others like me - well, agree think it's a mess of elements/themes from the show, and TBH mildly depressing ones at that - self-destruct IG, an abandoned helmet from a probably dead Mandalorian, even the E-Web - like Mando gets shot using it, etc. The whole base is a real downer when you think about it

Tho Grogu looks so good, I'd like just him in 1/4 $$$$$$$.

I’d actually like that base if it didn’t have the IG and bronze Mando helmet on it. Makes it way too busy. That said, the figure looks great.

The mando sculpt can be removed. Was thinking of replacing it with a small rock piece from the scout trooper or the speeder bike

Agreed, I’d go for the regular as well.

It’s not even a diorama; it’s more like a high school art project that’s got spirit but lacks any sense or cohesion.

Parts of it are cool, but it really just feels like they threw together ideas 5 different people had. It’s messy, whereas it feels like it should be a clean and classy display piece.

Would’ve been much better as an actual scenic diorama piece; landscape based on Tatooine, Corvus, Tython, or a part of the Razor Crest, or a section of somewhere on Gideon’s cruiser.

While I don't mind its 'messiness', I do agree it should be a clean, classy and elegant display piece, since it is 1/4 no less. Yeah a scene specific diorama would be best.

But yeah, I think if the jumbled bits of IG and the mando helmet were removed it'd look better.

Hey quick ques? How tall is it altogether, as in how many inches from the table to the top of Mando's helmet?

As he is posed now it’s 23.5 inches. I guess if he is standing perfectly straight on the base probably about 24 inches

Yeah the scorched corpse of Kuiil would’ve looked great on the diorama base too, a big miss by Hottoys.

Seems some of the gripes about this figure don’t really hold up in Justin/Jedha’s reviews. Proportions, weathering, armor all fine. He basically said it’s a must-have figure if you have the money.

I think the colors are too flat and the flight suit is completely the wrong color. I don’t have any issues with the details or proportions though. If only the armor was brighter and suit darker.

Grogu is flawless though.

I see very little, if any difference in the armors between the two there... We all see things differently I suppose. Interested to see it in-hand and on the shelf next to others. It'll go alongside the Sideshow Cara Dune PF...once that finally gets here.

You can tell that it’s different by the way that it is.

If you really can’t tell here’s a tip. Look at how dark the lowlights are on the 1:6 and compare them to the bright lowlights on the 1:4. Then compare how the highlights on the 1:6 are brighter than the highlights on the 1:4.

This is because, like I verified with my own eyes, they’re completely different finishes. The 1:6 has more luster and looks just like my 1:1 helmet. The 1:4 looks more like the grey metallic plastic on my Dyson vacuum.

This is the internet though so feel free to believe whatever you want

So...my reference was specific to the picture you shared and I stand by my comment. If you've got them all in-hand AND have a Mando helmet then you've got visual data I don't have. What you see clearly in-hand just isn't translating to "the sky is falling on my 1/4 Mando". I also don't have that version of the dyson vacuum...mine looks more like Thor's hammer

It’s a good figure and I’m glad I own it but I’m not sure I’d tell someone it’s worth getting into 1:4 for. I would say that about my other 1:4 pieces. The S2 Mando appears to be a better release all around when considering accessories and finish.

idk if I mentioned it ITT but I’ve already ordered the actual paint they use on the screen used props and my 1:1 helmet pictured above and plan to repaint the armor. I think more metallic armor will make the flight suit look better by contrast.
