LOL no worries either you can send me a shock trooper or I can send you all the bits you need, Cbob will make you a frock OT.

Hey Dorgs, I sent you a PM asking a few questions a few days back that you never responded to, could you see if you got that one? If not I can just type up a new one, but I was hoping for some answers soon... :D

I like your Thire Dorgs, but the skirt looks a little pinkish :lol

did thire spill some bleach on it on laundry day? :lol

LOL Thought I pmed u back, and the skirt is a pair of Cbobs old swimming pants!!!

well, the first time you did, about our project, but after that I replied to that PM, I asked a few questions about different clone bits and stuff, never got a reply from that one...

and great, OT probably thought you were being generous at first, now I'm not sure he wants a thire skirt! :lol

I figured it was just light passing though making it look lighter, Cbob's looks red so I figured Dorg's skirt was the same color. Cutting up clothes is one of the best ways to get material cheap, some types Ive needed would have cost $20+ a yard, but one trip to a second hand store I can get the same stuff and have a square yard of usable material for $1 or $2 and in most cases its unused clothing.

It is a different material dorgs has but im trying to find some better material atm to replace it for him :peace i brought some but its not very good, i need some kind of spandex type material thats close knit.

Well the material i used on mine was from a cloth covered mouse matt. Im just looking at some on ebay for peanuts so im tempted to buy a few and see what fits.

Will do and likewise if i can ever help you out :peace

Here's 1 of the bodysuits im doing for Dorgs Republic commando's, ive never used a sewing machine before but they fit ok

Did you jump right to doing vinyl, dam that came out good. When working with the vinyl don't forget to change needles once in a while and let the machine pull it through, I don't know what type of machine that is but its easy to throw out the timing with materials like that on low-mid range machines, then it cost as much as a new machine sometimes to fix, I should know I trashed 2 already in 3 years working with leather and vinyl, Thats why I finally had to buy a stupidly expensive machine.:banghead

On a related topic my wife recently sourced out the exact same pinstripe vinyl Sideshow uses for their clone jumpsuits, I just haven't looked into getting some of it yet. I can do spandex body suits start to finish in about 10 min each but vinyl is trickier cause its gotta be an almost perfect fit so I have been avoiding it a bit.:lol Though the good part of the body suits is even if they are not perfect most of it is covered.:angelsmil

Its 2 way stretch faux leather (pleather) and costs peanuts to buy in the metre. I will have to try spandex sometime though. Cheers for the praise it means alot coming from you :peace

I just got some material like recently, its like spandex on one side and leather looking on the other, I only picked up a yard of it because I concerned about how long it lasts till it starts cracking and flaking, it seems to be somewhat common with that type of material from what I hear, which is unfortunate cause it is perfect for things like that,

As for you body suit, if your first attempts came out that good you should be able to do all sorts of stuff with that machine with out much trouble.

Ive got 2 different types of faux leather, but ones way too thick and is more like rubber.

Ive got a Janome Sew Mini Sewing Machine, it seems ok so far.

Is there a specific type of spandex you use for bodysuits?
