Great episode. But damn did they get old very fast. Age wise. They didn’t look so old when they met

I guess the stress of their world makes them age faster.

Me and my wife aged faster too once we had kids.

**** the stupid game just give me great adult drama I could give 2 craps if the show craps on some silly game especially if the show or movie is great.

I play video games to blow **** up I would never go there searching for compelling stories that sounds ridiculous even saying that lol

Hold on let me put aside the compelling drama in the game so that I can dungeon crawl open some cabinets and shoot my gun lol

I wonder why considering they lived a relatively peaceful life free of infected and raiders with electricity, food, wine, fun, love and so on, in comparasion Joel and Tess aged amazingly well and they were out there fighting for their lives and smuggling **** day in and day out.

I wonder why considering they lived a relatively peaceful life free of infected and raiders with electricity, food, wine, fun, love and son, in comparasion Joel and Tess aged amazingly well and they were out there fighting for their lives and smuggling **** day in and day out.

I thought that too, they had more residences on that street and they absolutely could have let a few other people stay there for some sense of community. But, I guess it's more mouths to feed and more of a chance of being discovered while out foraging the increased need for supplies, so maybe they just didn't allow people to stay with them. I can see that being somewhat reasonable.

Considering the person Bill is in the game I don't think you could've expected him to bring in people to his town unless you completely changed his character, in the game it's more believable that nobody else wants to be in the town even if they find it because it's a giant death trap filled with infected and walls everywhere with death threats it's more representative of Bill's psyque building metaphorical and literal walls around him that drive everyone away while on the show the town is more like a piece of heaven on earth that he learns to share with Frank which he would've never even imagined of doing prior to meeting him, the fact he allowed Joel and Tess in there multiple times and Joel even knew the gate code speaks volumes about how he softened up over the years, it's very sweet that they gave him a "happy ending" cause he's a miserable and extremely complicated person in the game but also equally complex and a total badass I'm fine with both versions of this story.

Come on now. Even the most action heavy games like halo or cod and so on have dramatic story beats. Also the last of us was very dramatic. Also it’s imperative that a game follows the source material if not you’ll get **** like the RE movies or the halo tv show.

This however is a great example of staying true to the source but also trying new things….. so far

Kind of funny considering lots of people call TLOU a movie game, the gameplay is just connective tissue between the actual focus which is the story and characters, I don't think anybody who loves the games wanted a scene where Joel dies 10 times trying to sneak past clickers or a scene where he spends 5 minutes searching every cabinet in an abandoned house.

As always I can't compare to the game, having never played it, but I enjoyed it.
However, as much fun as it was watching Ron Swanson survive the apocalypse, some very emotional moments, I do wonder if they should have spent more time on Joel and Ellie.
Having said that, I found myself really disliking Ellie at times in this episode so maybe it was for the best.

that render of Pedro Pascal looks incredible! Vimal is very talented. With that said, something seems to always get lost in his sculpt when they get converted for printing/casting IMO and they never turn out looking nearly as good.

Incredible episode, very moving. I thought spending time away from Joel and Ellie was a good idea. Bill is an important character and I get why they devoted this episode to their story and the ending from an emotional point of view makes complete sense.
