Poor Jared Leto Sony has decided this long delayed movie will no longer be part of the Spider-Man MCU storyline so Sony has cut everything related to Spider-Man and just gonna make it a standalone crappy movie.

Guy has no luck.

Maybe he'll get a proper MCU role next.

Sheesh. Even Sony said screw this movie. It’s like one side of Sony is smart and just left marvel use the character and other side of Sony are complete idiots . They play tug of war with eachother.

im sure poor snikt even hates the friendly direction venom went in instead of his hard R verse he do desperately wanted.

I can only imagine movies with a cussing Spider-Man who drinks and sleeps with mj and black cat at the same time and back to back. To bad it’s not what he wanted.

I just read that the screenwriters for this also penned The Last Witch Hunter and the cinematic classic (lol) Gods of Egypt. I think I know why the plot & pacing is being heavily criticized lol...

I honestly hope this fails . Sony just needs to wake up and just let marvel have full control. Nwh was a huge hit for them and now they want to tarnish it by making some silly universe of there own? With villains that are not even remotely interesting without Spider-Man?

I see a lot of people taking back what they said about making the asm 3 now. Sony almost ran the franchise into the ground with making some stupid universe revolving around one character. What a joke.
It’s obviously avi arad and his silly ego. I can’t believe Sony still works with this guy. He literally almost killed the brand.

the only thing they have is into the spiderverse but that’s animation. Different studio and beast altogether

I dunno, the MCU is trending downwards since Endgame. I'd rather no one makes these Spidey standalone villain movies, and that includes Venom.

How the hell do these hacks keep getting hired? They hire crap writers, who write crap scripts that then get made into crap movies.

They'd be better off spending more on screen writers and less on actors. Honestly, no one is seeing this movie because Jared Leto is in it. People don't care about actors now, they care about characters. Exhibit A RDJ's Doolittle.

I think the MCU is just as good as it ever was. People were complaining about Incredible Hulk, Thor 2, Iron Man 3, Age of Ultron, and plenty else before Infinity War and Endgame arrived.

I don't think I've seen anything Leto has done that I've cared for, and I know I haven't seen all his work, but I'm really hopeful for this movie. Comic book movies are getting a little stale IMO and a "good" horror themed comic book movie would be welcomed (sorry, not a Blade fan). Also hoping the same for Raimi's Dr Strange flick.

I’m hearing it’s more Nic Cage Ghost Rider than Blade…

I’m not remotely a fan of Leto… but I think he was solid in Lord of War and Requiem for a Dream.

I expect fellow Midnight Son regular Moon Knight will better scratch my horror-hero itch than Morbius will.

The previews for this I keep seeing on tv crack me up. They just splice together a bunch of dialog to make him say stuff that he doesn't actually say in the movie and it sounds stupid as hell with the tone and inflection changing from word to word.
