I genuinely hope there's something bigger in the works for Olyphant. Whether he becomes Din's sidekick/running mate in season 3, or gets his own show, or whatever they want to do, the guy both needs and deserves more screen time. He's been fantastic in his limited appearances so far.

I like the character a lot, and I love the job the actor has done. I want more. I hope we get more. We're not there yet but I would say he could be a top three character in the Disney era if they build him up more. Cobb Vanth has that kind of potential.
Wholeheartedly agree with this. While he hasn’t had much screen time, he is just perfection for this role and I’d watch a series leading him. I also had high hopes for Fennec, and while I still like her a ton (all business no BS) she hasn’t gotten to do much in TBOBF

Lawful though he is, Vanth is definitely the most Han Solo we've seen since 1983.

I actually said that to a buddy of mine, but was afraid of getting crucified if I said it here haha I know Han Solo is god tier territory to most of us folks over 30 years old.

Cobb Vanth definitely reminds me of Han Solo a bit. Certainly a bit mysterious at first, hell of a shot, not afraid of a fight. Has shown he'll do the right thing but won't be pushed around either. Very much reminds me of Solo. I think that might be why I like him so much.

And for what it's worth, I think Din Djarin, Director Krennic and Ahsoka Tano are the top 3 Disney era characters. Easily think Cobb Vanth could climb up if they run with the character.
Ahsoka precedes Disney's purchase by quite a few years.

He's obviously been typecast in that western sheriff role, but damn if he isn't good at it. I think he's an exceptional actor in general. Deadwood was so chock full of excellent performances.
💯
When Brad Dourif as Doc Cochran has that breakdown (I think in season one) in his cabin, man, that was some god tier breathtaking acting.
Deadwood really doesn’t get the recognition it deserve, IMO.
Swedgin + Wu = Hang Dai

Well, yeah, but adult, live action Ahsoka is still Disney. And Clone Wars season 7.

I’d say it’s nice they still pretty much let Dave have creative control of her. Only odd thing that comes to mind is whoever decided to change Ahsoka from having a love interest in that Coruscant arc, in season 7, to the annoying sisters.

They completely lost me there but I understand young fans are more important than our demographic:lol

Man…those sisters gave me a heart attack during that arc. I really thought they were ending that show with a snooze fest for a minute. Shame they wasted a few episodes on filler like that. Was beyond annoying that they popped up again in Bad Batch.

Yeah, I remember watching the unfinished season 7 clips so trying to watch that episode of season 7 was weird because you knew the sisters were just shoe-horned in there because representation characters > females with love interests when it comes to Disney. But hey, The sisters brought in so many new fans, right?

I’ll venture to guess they brought in a total of zero new fans but hey, Disney’s cool with that because they get to virtue signal and brag about how diverse they are. God forbid they just tell good stories as a primary focus.

This just fosters the idea that women in general have nothing to add to anything unless a male character is interested in them sexually or "romantically." We cant ever just have someone show up who does interesting things and just happens to be female, nope - they have to do girly/annoying things and be stereotypically just all that girl stuff.

When do we get more people like Ripley, who did interesting things and just happened to be a woman? Really, all this is very retro in the sense that we have GOT to keep up this "[slur edited out]" stereotype at any cost, including cost to the story.

I did not see these sisters in CW, but they were annoying enough in Batch. Girls in a "car" bickering as they drive to the mall, right? I do remember seeing .gifs of even Ahsoka, queen of Annoying Girliness appearing to be annoyed/impatient with them. Perhaps I'm remembering wrong. Jeez, just stop it disney.

Unfortunately Cara Dune got the shaft and Leia became Mary Poppins in space but I do agree with you , we haven't had many great female characters in while , I wish they would go back to just being well written.

I hope Cobb Vanth gets announced soon. The usual boring off-topic complaining is hijacking this thread.

If he got shot in the shoulder he wouldn’t be unconscious. Does anyone think Cobb pretended to be lifeless after the shot so Bane didn’t try to a walk by the body and try to kill him and just walk away
