I am in the same page as you sj2106. I do not buy movie statues tho and that is where hot toys steps in to fill that movie gap. Really happy collecting both.

Same, comic based statues, movie/TV show figures.

I terms of just looking awesome out of the box statues can't be beat. But figures obviously have the benefit of poseability not to mention merely changing how they are grouped or the use of dioramas to offer constantly changing displays.

I am mainly a 1/6 figure collector but I will buy the occasional statue. Sometimes I dip my toe into the smaller scales to fill a niche or if I see a 1/10, 1/12, etc. figure/statue I really like.

Statues are definitely more convenient straight out the box, typically with a great dynamic pose - the cons are they are more expensive, delicate and take up space.

With figures, there is definitely more flexibility with your setup but it is a massive time drain trying to fuss with the hair, assembling outfits, posing, etc.

Also certain 1/6 figures have restrictions with articulation due to the suit (i.e. Spiderman, Captain Marvel) so with those I need to keep in boring museum poses to prevent material damage.

WHOA WHOA!!!!!!!!! :thud: :panic:

A 1/6 Batman Begins?!?!?!? Whata welcome addition!! AND with the Tumbler too?!

I'm very, exuberantly happy with my 1/4 Batman Begins figure, but (an updated) 1/6 would be cool too!

It looks like they maybe shrunk down some of the 1/4 based on those promo pics but just my guess.

What is this? :slap I can't imagine buying this and not having to buy a better third party cowl and cape. This looks so outdated.

This should have been a 2.0 updated release. Crazy that they just gave zero effort on this. Doesn't even come with his grappling gun. :lol

Batmetal face. :lol

What is that mouth plate? Looks awful and I would never use it. I want a Begins Batman, but we’ll see how this is priced.

Wow! HT really phoning it in with DC. Such a lazy release with the most minimal ?new? parts as possible. Boots, belt and Wayne eadsculpt re-use from the DX and everything else from previous releases since the 2008 version with faceplates, balaclava and harness from the Toy Fairs version. The only actual new thing here is the stand :lol :slap

The one thing is even if the releases are lazy it’s still kind of cool if there’s a chance they go back and revisit or maybe re-release more figures. I would love new versions of the ‘89 figures. Nicholson Joker would be pre-ordered in a heartbeat if a re-release happened.

Wow, glad I have the 1/4 version because that is crap. I can't believe they didn't replace the masked head and faceplates with the 1/4 sculpt.

Might buy the batmobile, though, if it's available through NA retailers. Any price on it, yet?
