I liked that last episode, Saru is fast becoming the star character in this series for me with his story and cool alien make-up/physiology. Captain Bohannon goes alright too, good casting there.

All I can think when watching it is 'I wish TNG and DS9 were the same shows they were but with these 2019 production values'.

Yeah defintely, there's so many shows I feel this way about however. Babylon 5, Stargate SG1 etc etc...

A truly AMAZING epsiode this week. As a lifelong Star Trek fan in all of its forms...every TV series, movie, books, comic books... it almost saddens me that there are Trek fans who are not connecting with this show and are missing out on the thrill of having a brand new episode of Star Trek each week that is so deeply enjoyable.

As a lifelong Star Trek fan in all of its forms...every TV series, movie, books, comic books... it almost saddens me that there are Trek fans who are not connecting with this show and are missing out on the thrill of having a brand new episode of Star Trek each week that is so deeply enjoyable.

Like they said, this episode is a Love Letter to us TOS fans

Loved this episode as well.
Although I didn't like Hugh's resurrection, I really like how they are handling it.
Burnham is also benefiting from her interactions with Spock. It's interesting that she's more engaging playing off the rest of the characters, it's almost as if she were a sounding board for Georgiou, Pike, Saru, Tyler (who are all more interesting characters than her so far) and now Spock.

Very exciting...I know that you love all Trek but DS9 is your least favorite...I am on the opposite end and DS9 is my favorite show and Sisko squeaks by Kirk and Picard and is actually my favorite Captain...as a Father of three young boys I relate to Sisko far more than the other Captains. Looking forward to this one!

You know what. A lot of younger guys I know like Janeway because of her single mom figure. Because I only watched DS9 once. I didn't catch what you mentioned. Sisko appealed as a Single Dad!

DS9 and Voyager Era were aired during the time when we had a lot of single families.
