Jesus I forget how embarrassingly bad the stock figure is. Still wild to me that Hot Toys released THAT for $250 a few months ago. Feels like I'm looking at a figure from 10+ years ago.

Thank you. It seems to be a dust magnet I noticed it with other people too. Be careful if you rub it off so you dont damage the coating

So, if the matte coat is fragile, is it pretty safe to say that, for the later batches, Hot Tous just gave them all a quick spray of matte varnish to dull them down before boxing them up- so, underneath they’re still glossy rubber?

Thats what everyone is saying. Some people even removed the matte and then removed the gloss to make it matte again peeling the sucker like an onion

I dont know how easy or hard it is. But I dont plan to figure that out. Best thing to do is be careful with it

I wonder if its a good idea to spray a seal on the figure to be safe. But what if that makes it glossy again
