Just think far ahead it could be Hot Toys intention to slow down RO project, the first RO wave released was to test market reaction...

Thats why I grab additional Death trooper specialist now when the price is still affordable , dont want to pay $300+ or even $400+ later when Krennic comes out

Even if no Krennic, I would just display 2 Death Troopers with upcoming Tarkin - Vader set.

Nice, did you get the Deluxe ? The effort they went to with the box etc is just crazy. The costume is pretty nice though. Love the various layers.

Eyeing this guy but don't know whether or not to go deluxe. Aftermarket price point on rogue one figures has jumped. Also standing with Jyn and K2 with the deluxe base may look odd.

I got the Deluxe. Chirrut's and Jyn's boxes are really nicely designed.

As someone had previously posted, I'm thinking of giving the deluxe base to the Shoretrooper. It looked pretty good.

The stormtrooper scene was ridiculous in a bad way but HT seems to have done a nice job on this figure. At this price what the hell I'll check him out. Already have both Jyns and K2 so he can join them. Thanks for posting the sale!

Feels a bit random at this point. You wait on some figures and can get a good deal. Others you end up paying twice their original cost. Hard to tell what the demand will be and how many will be produced.

True. But for those who can wait -- and don't need it except at a good price -- patience always pays off.

If you love something, there's no reason you shouldn't over-pay and enjoy it. Hell with it. What's $20 or something to have it early and enjoy it? I totally overpaid for Tarkin because I didn't want to wait on him -- full retail at Sideshow, plus inflated shipping PLUS CA tax. But I'm so happy.

I only get good deals on stuff like this that I could have otherwise lived without. Generally I just pre-order because I am impatient and don't like paying over retail on sold out stuff. But I also never pay a premium for early Hong Kong delivery.

Waiting for a good bargain is a risk. Whether one is willing to take that risk will depend on factors such as whether one can live without the figure if there is no good deal available. Doctor Strange is a good example. Those who waited are probably regretting the decision right now. I can also see the DX15 Jack Sparrow following the same path as Doctor Strange after it sells out.

Waiting can pay off. I have picked a bunch of figures at a lower price over the years. I really wanted the Bank Robber Joker 2.0 but i thought the $270 price (4 years ago) was way to much. I bid on one that was new in the box on eBay a couple years ago and the starting bid was $170 and i was the only one that bid.
