It is what it is, just like the whole TOS/TNG thing. Just have to wait it out. For those who have been all in on VOY and the other releases it’s not too bad, but for those holding out on specifics I can see how the wait seems endless. Hang in there Jimmy! Imagine the wait if we were on Hot Toys timing.

I'm sure they'll be released eventually, but it is getting old.

As far as I know, Nanjin is waiting on final approval from CBS.
So I’m having a hard time understanding this. Has he physically manufactured these or parts yet ? I mean he’s not taking count on preorders. These are suppose to be for “immediate“ release. Again the impression I got months ago was these were taking up room on the factory floor and he had to clear them out. Today on his FB site he says “Another Star Trek partner and a few Trekverse VIPs are involved with our TMP releases. 😊
What can that mean ? Seems like new consultants on something before manufacturing starts

Then I got nothing. At this point, either they release them or they don't.

Apparently, they have been manufactured! Back on the 22nd of September, he posted that they were done and moving onto packaging (see image).

Additionally, two days ago he said that once the packaging is done, they'll go up for order. The EXO-6 site schedule has had them listed for an October release since the start of September, so they're still on track to meet that window.

I do understand the frustration! I'm super keen for these releases too, but they'll be here soon enough, I'm sure.

Not intending to be a party-pooper, but I'm not getting the "quality likeness" vibes from that portrait :dunno

The Voyager figures were never on my "wants" list, but I hope those of you that were looking forward to this DO like it.

.
The sculpt looks solid to me. The paint apps are a little off again, but that seems to be a common theme with the ladies. Having said that, these photos of prototypes always look worse than the in-hand versions of the figures.

I hope that doesn't hold true for the DS9 Jadzia & Kira, and (especially) the TOS Uhura :panic:

The sculpt does have a slight caricature vibe to it like a lot of their other figures (Q, Archer, the Doctor), but I'm OK with that as I can still see enough of a likeness there.

So far the Kira and Dax sculpts are looking a lot better I think.

Wasn’t she up for P.O. before and got pulled? I wonder if it was to make some tweaks.

She was taken down before due to increasing costs of the partially seamless metal armature which meant they would have had to raise the price on further preorders, so rather than charging newcomers extra, they took her down. It seems they were able to figure out how to keep the price the same so they've opened her back up for a few additional preorders.

As an aside, Seven is (so far) a unique case in that part of the manufacturing is being done outside the EXO-6 ecosystem. The seamless parts are being done by a different factory, which affects the cost of production. Any traditionally jointed figures are done in-house by the EXO-6 factory, and personally, I can only think of a few Trek figures that truly need seamless parts anyway.

I don't know if this image got posted on the forum before (as usual, it's from Nanjins Facebook), but even clothed you can see where Seven has seamless parts (elbows/knees, and most of the torso). She has regular joints at the shoulder and hips.

(The shorter traditionally jointed one on the left is apparently for Uhura)

With the frequency of these releasing now and realising that my wallet can’t take it, I’m OK to start planning and missing out on certain series. I think I will ignore Enterprise in its entirety and try to focus on a nice mix of TNG, Voyager and DS9. We’ll see. I dunno how some of you do it :D

Skip out on “Badass Bakula”? Blasphemy!

The thing is, I would like the captains line up but at the same time I feel if I get him I would be obligated to get more from that line :p

I skipped on Tuvok but kinda wish I hadn’t and Chakotay looks great as well. Now I’m thinking if I had those two I’d be happy enough with Voyager and then move onto TNG/DS9 and maybe some TOS when the original outfits release. I have Seven on pre-order and Sisko and Locutus at the moment. I also have a wife who is ready to strangle me.
