Judging by the mix of accessories and other additions/omissions for the new Wolf variant, it looks like HT may have planned this one as an accessorizing kit of sorts. He has items that were mainly used in either the early or the late part of the movie. If you combine everything that comes with the original and the variant, you'd have all the gear needed to display Wolf at nearly any point in the movie. This isn't perfectly accurate, but here's an example of what I mean...
(inside crashed ship):
Armour w/single cannon (variant)
Cleaner Kit, open/closed (variant)
Coiled Whip (both)
Regular Bio-mask (original)
(early - late):
Armour w/double cannons (original)
........ item deleted ........
"Cleaning" fluid (variant)
Whip, either one (original)
Open shuriken (original)
Closed/roaring mandibles (both)
Medical instrument (variant)
Bio-mask, either one (both)
Scragged alien base (variant)
(late - final battle):
Armour w/single mount (variant)
Hand-held cannon (variant)
Whip, uncoiled (original)
Roaring mandibles (variant)
Damaged Bio-mask (variant)
Scragged alien base (variant)
The variant figure itself doesn't appear to have any battle damage, so that should allow him to be accurately accessorized to almost any point in the movie, unlike with the BD P2, who was limited by the painted-on blood. I'm thinking this is a good thing.

I'm pretty sure Toy Square is the official Canadian distributor of Hot Toys, so that would mean they get their stuff from Hot Toys.

Thats a really good comparison BUT the cleaner kit has a implosion bomb that was used on the crashed ship.
After that, you don't see it in the movie.

Honestly i would buy wolf if it was worth its money, i know the detail is incredible etc. But the way the body is just makes me cringe, the molded on armour makes it look very action figurish, if they gave it the body like the P2, it would be excellent, but other than that i would pass..
although im liking the change in colourisation they've made to it.

It has basically everything unless I'm mistaken except the shrunken , extra cannon and the extended whip. I would say it is definitely superior though , if they were both together in a detolf or cabinet I think this one is the one that would draw most attention. I love it how hot toys do this. Makes the fans so pissed , lmao ! , but we still buy em anyway.

If you look at this close up picture you see his Bio has a cracked lens and more scarring on his helmet. That's pretty much all I could see for Battle Damage.

~~and i also think the least they could do is include all the accessories from the first version of Wolf. but i guess they are doing it this way so that people will HAVE to buy both to get every weapon.

Hot Toys knows that collectors will buy anything which just means more money in their pocket.
Exactly. I'm sure they learned from the P2 figure that if you pack the exact figure and more, it's not as effective as releasing 2 figures that are both incomplete so that many collectors will be forced to buy both if they want an all encompassing figure.
