Doesn’t drape naturally. No matter how much one futzes a wired cape it just will not hang right for non dynamic poses.
OK fair enough. I have a Unreal Toys wired cape for BvS Batman and it takes it to the next level.

So I guess I'm not the biggest drape cape guy. But I guess it's good to have both options.

That comparison with Inart and HT to me it's clear InArt is better the sculpt looks like Pattinson in the cowl. Now don't get me wrong HT will still be a good figure hence why I have him preordered but I'm excited for when the final version of InArt's is shown.

While I agree that InArt is better, it doesn't look HUGELY better. Just a tad, at least in the sculpts. I do like the colors, proportions, etc. so far better as well, but to me, it doesn't necessarily kill the HT figure. If one can afford the InArt and feels the difference is worth it, then cool. But even as someone who's PO'd the InArt and thinks it does in fact look pretty nice and better, I'm not blown away by it and wondering if the HT would've been good enough for me personally. Still have time to decide. Definitely glad I passed on the Bruce Wayne figure though.

Other then the sculpt the outfit is miles better then HT. But time will tell I think both are great figures, and just owning one or the other is enough. With that I think we will be getting good competition as HT wouldn't have updated their Batman figure (or others) without InArt pushing them to do so. If we down right say HT is better they'll just not care moving forward about their figures. That's why so many of their newer figures are getting redone or have new and improved details. Batman, Peacemaker, DOFP Wolverine and a few others. I can imagine the minute they get that validation that they remain "better" they'll go back to their half effort ways. Imo

For sure, I think we all know that HT wouldn't of updated their version if InArt wasn't in the game, there's definitely no question about it. But, we all have different eyes and different standards across the board as well as even down to different standards for individual characters. So one person's "miles better" is another person's "barely better." To me, it isn't miles better. I think it's better and I'm ok spending the money to get that little extra push, but I still feel the unmasked Pattison sculpt with the messier hair is better on the HT figure and overall the InArt isn't that much better. However, it would be no one's fault except for InArt's if/when the final product of both are released and ppl feel the HT is better. InArt has built themselves up as the new advancement in 1/6, pushing the envelope etc, and if they don't deliver on those promises, then it's on them if they fail, not Hot Toys and certainly not ours.

And just to clarify, I do think the InArt looks fantastic, especially in the show photos. I just don't think it's this giant leap forward.

Lastly, I do find the irony of everyone who was so happy with how communicative InArt has been and how it's so much better than what HT does; yet, here we are now where InArt says one thing, does another and we don't know what to believe since they seem to regularly contradict themselves. Asmus learned the hard way who now rarely communicates with us and I'm more than sure InArt will eventually follow.

That I can agree with. InArt has to do their best to make sure what they release can be exactly what was promised. As we've seen these figures are all prototypes so they have time to make adjustments and really put all the work needed to making them as good as it should be. If they actually succeed I think at the very least they will be on par with HT and then we'll see new advancements in the hobby. As far as them being communicative with the fans I agree they should limit how much they have with us. They should only take slight feedback in certain instances but ultimately just limit interactions, they'll be able to do more without the strain of people complaining something is off the best artist can't work if someone is behind them telling them what they are doing is all wrong.

It's a weird game. If I were running a one-sixth company, knowing what I do about fans and collectors, I'd limit my interaction with them because it's too labour-intensive to communicate with them and manage their expectations, while also being almost impossible to please them all.

What I would also do is make sure that I always delivered on promises, was explicit about those promises so they weren't misinterpreted, and of course -- attempt to deliver the best work possible while monitoring fan feedback and reacting to what was critically important and reasonable.

Sounds about right.

I refuse to give a click on his review but maybe the shoulders were positioned higher on the video. Comparing the shoulder armors with the cape on, it seems the shoulders are positioned lower with promo photos and creates that slope. The cape does add volume on that area. Without the cape, even with shoulders positioned higher, the traps still seem to be there because of the neck armor.
Thats what Im hoping is the explanation

Call me crazy but out of all the stuff they've shown this seems to be the least impressive, the heads in particular don't really do anything for me the paint looks mediocre and the rooted hair just doesn't improve the unmasked sculpt in any way, when Justin put it next to the Hot Toys DX19 I could see that while tailoring is really well done the rest of the figure just looks like that, a figure, especially the sculpt, the HT Bale looks realistic while with IA's Pattinson I can clear tell it's a figure. It will be insteresting to see how both Batman figures hold up when standing next to each other since they can't really study each other's flaws right now.
The bale suit is much simpler though. The Pattinson suit combines different material and seems like a much more complicated design. I think for a fair comparison, we should be comparing both Pattinson figures like you said.

I guess I’m just a little confused by all the people rushing to judgment and making claims about this figure based on a video review from a dude who, honestly? Doesn’t really impress me that much. I’ll agree with what somebody on Facebook said about this whole “long time, no soirée” being a fiasco. For one thing, I have difficulty getting whatever vibes they were putting out on their social media from what I’m actually seeing. This doesn’t seem like a “showcase for licensors” when it’s just a bunch of middle aged dudes in baggy t-shirts and basketball shorts hanging around a couple statues and some 1/6th scale figures. Looks more like a Frank and Sons flea market type deal to me in terms of execution.:lol

More than that, though, are the logistics. I feel like they used the Justin reviews to excuse the fact that they didn’t have new, high-res photos of their updated prototypes and final products, but, in doing so, missed out on one key fact: he makes their products look like crap and he doesn’t go nearly as in depth as he should. Between the glaring, glass display cases at the exhibition and the obscenely washed out, fluorescent lighting in Justin’s videos, I’m over here kind of like “what the hell, man?” And while that’s 100% on them, what I can’t understand is why people are like “yeah, not the HT killer it’s being made out to be” and so on and so forth when, unless y’all are seeing different stuff than I have, the videos and photos I’ve seen look like they were filmed by a half-blind photographer with the shakes.

Agreed. Looks great, but not enough for me to drop my jaw and go after it like a Terminator would to a target.

Biggest takeaways for me that haven't been so obviously brought up that I've seen before:

- Height: Glad to see this compared to the DX19. Now if I do purchase any InArt in the future, I see they scale well. Joker did too in the other video.
- Magnetic Base: This thing has me most impressed to be honest. It's about time stands took an evolution. Wonder how well they stand without?
- Single Joystick for eyes: Thank you! Human eyes move TOGETHER not singly like some chameleon.
- Rooted hair: I had no idea this could even be superior to sculpted but they are doing it.
- Justin's Collection: Toys Wonderland flew him out to L.A. Enough said.
I always get worried with pers that one eye will come out more to the left then the other. With one joystick your stuck with it like that.
