I’m still on the fence with this one pondering I have the armory one but this one seems bigger? Kinda like a 2012 Cap scenario I dunno I’ll wait a bit before I decide if I need this. I have the QS Rooted joker coming would be nice to have a proper Batman with.

DX02 was pretty good apart from the neck/head, and being a fully rubber body suit.

Some old comparison pics I did when I got the DX02 to the MMS version. Haven't owned a TDK Batman for a long time.

Asian designers making longer waisted, shorter legs as their body type. I remember long ago Marmit stormtroopers and my Kaiyodo kits were plagued by that.

I have a day one PO and have no indication it’s even on its way to their warehouse yet so it could still be a month or two honestly.

FedEx has had my DX19 sitting in the same place in HK for four days now with no updates on a $96 priority shipment… It hasn’t even made it to outbound customs yet…

They do this so consistently that this is the final straw, I won’t be ordering anything that comes through FedEx again and if a retailer only uses them I’ll simply take my business elsewhere.

Hopefully I can get a refund for the shipping charges. I was willing to pay more because there’s a business use in getting the item earlier but here I am with people all over the world having copies already and mines just lamping on a FedEx truck somewhere.
If u have a choice for dhl I would use that
Dhl has always been faster than FedEx in my experience

I did figure out that the place it’s been “stuck” is the airport island in HK so hopefully it’s actually in the US awaiting a scan by now.

Not sure if this is gonna sell out right away, any thoughts On when to buy?
Sideshow hot toys seem to be in Stock at least 1 year from release in my experience so you're good till mid/late 2023
Any thoughts on when Sideshow will have this in stock?
Hopefully the typical 1-2 month wait but some hot toys from sideshow seem to be stuck like the mark 85 battle damage that should've been out months ago

This new one looks impressive. Better proportions for sure. But like the Bespin Luke situation, if you have the old one, it doesn't mean you need to run out to get the new one. I got the DX12 and I am satisfied with it. I did skip out on the DX07 and will be getting the new Luke. Good to know that HT nailed this one and everyone seems pretty happy with it.

It does seem odd how HT is putting out it's "The Meticulous Works" videos all of a sudden lol. Feeling that InArt heat incoming. Funny how TDKR Batman and Joker still rule the roost. They both seem like they are still a big deal over in Asia.

No matter how inaccurate that MMS is, I still like that figure just b/c it and other releases around the same time were the initial turning point for this scale I think. Seeing it is pretty nostalgic

Is there a more crucial franchise to the advancement of 1:6 collecting than TDK? The trilogy seems to capture just the right audience for upscale collecting at just the right time.

Sure the Star Wars and MCU stuff is huge now and there’s more figures in those properties total but back in 2005 production 1:6 stuff wasn’t that much better than the best of the POTF 12” figures. Star Wars was fading after the prequels and the MCU was just being thought up. It really feels like the Medicom/Takara/Hot Toys competition within TDK space led to the modern 1:6 era.

So what the hell happened to you?

This sort of thing usually comes by boat, so if it’s just out in HK, expect at least a month for Sideshow.

It absolutely changed everything, forever. It changed the tone of this forum, it changed the collectibles industry, it was a turning point.

Some of the changes were so bad that I actually came to resent the movie for awhile.

Apparently was warned and I posted again. Do not remember what post or what thread. No specifics given other than a rules violation. If you read the Code of Conduct, it covers everything lol.
