Also, recent films have given me the urge to get biker toys...
Hiding DNA follicals.

He's a nerd with no physical capability. No threat at all.
At least TDK Joker had some physical strength and was able to go toe to toe against Batman.

Bruce and Batman acted exactly the same. Actually felt anxious whenever he got within kissing distance of people like Gordon and Falcone, they should've easily recognized him. But whatever, "suspension of disbelief" I guess.
Some of the monologue and theme were a bit juvenile, kind of reminded me of Joker (the movie) in that way.
The villains didn't really have the same presence as some of the other movies.
Liked it overall though, great music and visuals, probably my second favorite of the movie batman universes.

Got even better after my 3rd and yes that Riddler monologue on Bruce Wayne was awesome and RP sold it so very well with his expression but part of me still thinks that Riddler knew that was Bruce Wayne but then I gave up on that theory lol
I did love that the opening Halloween night Bruce was out there with all of the trick-or-treaters in his costume as Bruce Wayne!
I also noticed that during one of Riddler’s live chats somebody wrote “tick tick boom” lol

If they took out the preachy black mayor, the “white privilege” jab, and did away with the third act with the bombs, flooding and Joker cameo it would be the perfect Batman movie. I’ve been saying for years that I wanted to a detective movie and this delivered . . . until the end.
The movie goes off the rails when Riddler reveals his master plan. It’s the same problem Batman Begins had back in the day when they reveal the microwave emitter, ninjas and monorail.
Do audiences really need to keep seeing these high stake, national guard level threats in every superhero movie? Am I the only one that thought there was enough tension with Batman’s identity getting revealed? I loved when they were in the Riddler’s apartment and you can tell Batman feels completely defeated when he mistakenly thinks Riddler has deduced his identity. Pattison’s emoting through that mask when he thinks he’s ****** is amazing. You can see the relief on his face when he realizes that Riddler doesn’t know, THROUGH the cowl. For me, that’s enough. It should have never gotten any bigger than that. The flooding and Riddler snipers were stupid.

The one big silly thing in the movie is the importance placed on that drug bust like seriously that happens every 30 seconds it really is no big deal lol

I am warming up to the end. Preachy mayor got hers when she thought she was so smart. The shotgun guy kinda didn't do it for me as an excuse to have Catwoman save him. I was about to say Riddler doesn't do his own dirty work, but he did. Not sure why he wanted to get caught...
I'd rather Riddler got away while he left his goons to do the work to save his own skin. Maybe Reeves wants that Joker Riddler team up in the next one.
I watched Se7en again and the ending had so much tension and emotion. This should have ended similar to that with the approach this film had.
Unironically. Your comment actually reminds me why this movie's vibe, although somewhat unique, doesn't feel completely new: it's got a lot in common with Watchmen.

You know damn well how I thought about it. As soon as I he uttered the word “hope” and started helping the flood victims I was cringing.
The intro is literally perfect, especially with the narration (reminds me a lot of TDKReturns and Year One novels), but the end sucks. Yeah, sure buddy, you’re the shadows . . . you’re on national television in broad day light.
In the sequel he’ll have a statue in his honor just like Batman did in Rises and Superman in BvS, mark my words.

You mean w Catwoman? He missed that going out of town. The scene where he accused her of sleeping w Carmine then apologizing was something I didn't expect. Nice moment there.
Like I said before, this is Reeves current Batman 66. Batman 66 w right there with law enforcement and random people.
