I can't believe in a single week I'm hearing of IMAX MCU at home plus a 1/4 scale Ripley from ALIENS.

I can't believe this made as much as it did. Especially after reading that some oversea countries pulled it from theaters after the 1st day due to it's content...

Wonder if good ole Disney is/was buying out seats at empty showings again?

If you look at total box office for all MCU movies, it certainly doesn't go by best to worst in quality. Fast and Furious and Transformers prove that point. People just want the spectacle.

I want to know TWO things:

1) what was the BEST thing/scene in Eternitals?

2) what was the WORST thing in Eternitals?

Best thing is Arishem. The scale is awesome. I hope we get a lot of Galactus like that, but of course Galactus is like 1/12 scale of Arishem.

Worst is the unneeded dude smooch. Clearly in your face. To be fair, the Sersi/Ikaris "sex scene" was totally unnecessary too. They get married, we get it. Why didn't we get Rogers plowing tig bits to Johnny B. Goode? Total sensationalism to get people talking to market the movie.

All any article talks about was Eros/Starfox. Ooh....aaaah. Who gives a f*** about him. How many people even know/care who he is? He's about as well known as all of the Eternals. He's a big deal just because he was Thanos' brother.

But Pip?? Now I just want to see the end credit scene to see him. Was he really that bad looking? He'll be the new Rocket.

Couldn't see with what I was viewing, but reddit posts were trashing it hard, even with people liking the film. Probably a quarter of the box office is girls who want to see Harry Styles who plays Eros.

I like the big name cosmic characters, but Eternals are not it. I was open to them winning me over like GOTG, but sadly the trailer was the beginning of the end.

Hey, the only actor from this movie I have any interest in is Gemma Chan. I like her... but in everything I've seen her in, she's a might boring. Pretty but boring. Glad to hear she's good.

I still don't think I could sit thru this though.

That made me laugh out loud.

The whole movie sounds like a mess. I know a lot of people here want to like it and are starving for their usual diet of MCU... but I've also been around here long enough to know that they will almost all come around to disliking this film by next year... or as soon as a good movie comes along that they can be excited about.

Anybody who says they are seeking refuge from violence in Chicago is just trolling or being dishonest for political purposes

Well sure but why should we at this point? Post EG I'm sure I would have been there opening night on the logo alone.

But post WV/FATWS/Loki with a lame cast, lame trailers, lame premise and crappy wokeness hell no.
