His House (Netflix)- 8/10

I stumbled across this one and decided to give it a shot. Very good acting by the cast. Disturbing plot and interesting ending.

Ghost in the Shell. Way better than expected. 7 or 8 /10.

2012. Bad leaden disaster porn *&^%$ 2 or 3 /10.

Mank - 7/10

Forward-thinking director David Fincher teams up with forward-thinking composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails) to take a stab at old-school Hollywood. They fare surprisingly well.

Re-watched It Follows and Halloween 2018

It Follows 9/10. Solid creepiness, nice scares, great soundtrack. Feels closer in tone to the original Halloween then any of the sequels.

Halloween 2018 5/10. Michael didn't seem to have any focus/specific victim type. Dumb characters and really stupid humor in parts. Better than part 4,5,6,7,8 but that's not saying much. The doctor twist was ridiculous. Climax was meh. Mask looked cool and JLC acting was spot on. Some decent kills. IMO Rob Zombie did better in spite of the issues I have with those 2. The wait for a decent Halloween sequel continues.

Mulan (since u can watch without the 30$ fee now on D+)

Won't watch again. "Eh" 5/10. I like the movie Aladdin. Compared to Mulan it's a masterpiece.

Watch the original animated Mulan instead.

Neither Mulan are that good, but I'd rather watch live action version if i have no choice. There was potential, but it never seemed to rise to it. The phoenix was really overused, the witch was unnecessary, and the final fight suffered from a poor choice of location.

That was the point of Michael in 2018. JC always said it was a mistake to have JLC out to be his sister. He was supposed to be the "Boogie Man" no reason for what he did. Just kill to kill.

The doctor twist is awful and just about derailed the whole film for me. JLC performance was solid though. As a whole I find it watchable.

Personally I hate the Rob Zombie films.. Just tired of the trailer trash RZ characters. Really went over the top in the 2nd versions directors cut. Actually I think the theatrical cut of Halloween 2 is the better of the 2 RZ Halloween films. Less Lorie being an obnoxious white trash ***** :lol

Halloween 4,5,6,7, and 8..... Meh

There is only one solid follow up IMO and that is the original Halloween II. Far from perfect but still good for repeat viewings.

Not a fan of It Follows.. I liked the first act but then started laughing at things like the scene on the beach when the girls hair gets pulled and the boy gets kicked out right off of the frame :lol

The spirit / Curse of that film just was not interesting to me.

No offence to your ratings.. The films you picked just struck my horror cord :)

Zack Snyder?s Justice League 8/10.

My mind is still recovering from this amazing extended and totally different cut, now I wish they gave us 2 more sequels [emoji1787]

Snyder Cut - 8/10

Epic for what it is. Kudos for being so completely different from the original and fleshing out the characters in a very likable way. I expected more of an extended cut of JL but was blown away that it only remotely shared elements of it.

Did not like anything involving Martian Manhunter.

Reign of Fire - "Come on, big boi" / 10

I dunno, 7 or 8? Apprehensive of giving this a super high score, but I've never had anything against it.

ROTK in 4K - 8/10 - FOTR is easily my fav. Cut out a few corny scenes in ROTK and I would probably like it just as much as FOTR

I feel blasphemous for saying this, as I watched the EEs recently, and I felt like TT and ROTK didn't need that extra stuff in it. I don't remember those two dragging on when I initially watched them. I never liked the Fangorn Forest pacing, as slow as the trees were.

Love Reign of Fire. 8/10 for me.

Army of the Dead, mindless action and popcorn zombie fun. Who cares about the plot or heist but still a good solid 8/10 in action zombie, 4/10 when it comes to the story [emoji1787][emoji1787]

How did this thread get lost to the 3rd page? Used to be top. o_O

I watched The Revenant for the first time over the weekend. Would give it a 6/10. It's good and looks fantastic - felt like it dragged in some areas for me. The final fight is well done.
