Of course there is gonna be re-sculpt, now is the time to complain before they do it so they can take into consideration all of our input.

I really feel like im part of the team when i go on their facebook page and say "Are you trying to make it Not look like him?" :rotfl

Wow this is a really great looking piece ........... the sculpt seems a little off but overall its awesome. I would love to get this one.

Yeah, its easier to push HT's buttons than Sideshows when it comes to consistent excellence it seems.
C'mon, the rest of you were thinkin' the same thing.

wow... just got home from work to find this thread. i think the figure looks awesome, not 100% hugh, but awesome all together. hopefully hot toys can pull this one off before shipping.

Re: Hot Toys Wolverine...first look, at last!

What if that criticism is wrong though? We have a single picture to judge by. They have tons of film stills and have been working on the sculpt and the figure for months. Yet some people think they know better from a single image.

I guess the honeymoon with HT is over. They should get ready for the same bashing (some justified, some not) as SSC gets.

How can the criticism be wrong? The photo is big enough to see the details and that the likeness isnt completely there. It's not like this is a blurry con photo taken by Joe Blow. If it is wrong it would be a great likeness which it is not.

There was never a 'honeymoon' with HT for me....but I do see that with more people. SSC gets bashing because they are behind in quality yet prices are rising. We understand you have to be a bit biased since you are the owner of a SS forum, but to tell people they are being overly critical or doing unjustified bashing is wrong if you ask me.

I'm fine with the head. For a promo shot. But I don't know how I feel about the hair on the knuckles. It's molded on but not painted...

I think that's the best route, something that fine is better off sculpted and letting shadows be the paint rather than paint it and have it look to heavy.

Going by this picture, it captures the essence of Wolverine from the movies and the comics. That's good enough for me not to pass. Just don't forget a cigar Hot Toys

^ That's a better picture for examining the sculpt than the HT's newsletter pic. The likeness looks pretty good there. It's off by just *this* much, but I'm not actually sure what's inaccurate. The nose? I dunno.

His face is a little off but it still looks really awesome. Ill be getting this. Am I the only one still hoping for alot of extra hands with bone claws and regular hands?

You're probably right, it's just then the hair looks lighter than the skin. I'm just not sure how I feel about that. I think I might have preferred no body hair at all.

The only thing I'll add is that they better get the hair and likeness right on this one because I wont "double dip" on the "owl doo"-even better likeness to Jackman" ver.2 they might bring out.
That dog wont hunt in this economy.

And from the way the neck connects to the chest, he's on a muscular body. As we all sort of assumed.

What's wrong with his hair, it looks to me like it did in the movie.

How does this not look like Hugh Jackman? You guys have some weird standards.

Is it perfect? Well no. But it's certainly Hugh. And they might even revise it like they did with Marcus Wright, which was already pretty good to begin with.
