I got my figure today and the head was completely detached when I pulled the figure out of the box. I tried to pop it on, but the socket inside the body is completely loose and just rattling around inside. I can't use the "technique" mentioned in the previous posts. When I try to push the head in the socket, there is no resistance to make it "pop" on. That was my first disappointment. The second is the way the cloak connects. It's just the wires hooking together. I appreciate a wire inside but to use the ends of that wire as the mechanism to connect the two ends together is just plain lazy Asmus. This should have been a snap, or a cloth tie, a magnet or just double stich the thing together rather than this fugly way to connect them. Even after pulling the cloak down to hide the wires...you can see the metal hooks under there. It looks like a Christmas ornament hook. Sending back to my seller, here's hoping I can get a replacement that doesn't have a broken neck socket....but Asmus....don't use the wire to connect a cloak again in future figures. I would rather pay a little more for better quality.

If you can get Gimli - get him. His look really didn’t change much for Helm’s Deep and I don’t see them revisiting the figure soon with how complicated the hair is.
Yep, Gimli is wonderful. I can wholeheartedly recommend him. Personally, the likeness, accessories, tailoring and hair make this guy one of their best!

Totally agree. I really hate the way the hood and the wire work on this figure.

The Asmus Fellowship cloaks in general need redesigning from scratch to be honest. They are not even the correct colour, material or shape!
They are supposed to be grey! 😅

Had to add Gimli to this scene to complete the look. Let the head count begin! Hahaha!
This nice clear pic helped me decide to choose the DX set $$$$$ :D

I had been debating as I have a lot of diorama stands I've picked up, and wouldn't the one that came with Aragorn be enough? But I think I want this.

From the sound of it, guess I'll dig around and see if I have any spare gripping hands that might work, if needed.

Finally got my Legolas from Sideshow. He’s my 30th Asmus figure, and I almost can’t believe they’ve gotten so far in the line. While I really like the figure (aside from the ugly wire clasp on the cloak), I do with the base had a stand like Aragorn’s did. As is he makes me kind of nervous atop my Detolf, and his base is too tall to go inside it.

Yes indeed, those pics look amazing. I`ve been sat on ordering Legolas, but if these pics don`t push me into action, then nothing will. (y) :clap

Well, I hadn't ordered as needed to clear some other POs $$$. Hopefully soon.:drool

I don't think that I had previously noticed the blonde and white faux hair on this Legolas figure. Is this correct or something the camera did?

Just got mine yesterday. I took a look and his hair does have both colors. I would guess it's around 80% blonde and 20% white.
Very happy with the figure! He looks great and has impressive articulation for posing. Only complaint would be what a few others have said: the wire clasp for the cloak hood leaves a bit to be desired. With some fiddling around I'm sure I can make it look decent.

I just loved this piece so much. Asmus put a lot of love on this figure and I think it is one of their finest figures that I owned. I never thought of picking him up since I got the 1.0 Legolas but couldn’t help myself. Once in hand, I was in awe and I never regret purchasing this. It was such fun futzing and posing this guy. The tailoring and accessories are step up to the 1.0 version even the base feels really premium. To all you guys who still in doubt, trust me you will not regret to get this in hand.

Finally moved mine away from the tv and added it to my now very full heroes of Helms Deep shelf.

I’ve got the first luxury Legolas posed atop that cave troll head using his bow and arrows so figured I’d make use of the daggers this time.

Seeing as we can’t have him surfing down the stairs on an Uruk shield, I’ve opted to display him charging back up the stairs to clear the wall.

And here’s Haldir and a Galadhrim elf just to rile up @RandomHero
