Weird thing is I don't think so there's as much pleather. The top part is a weird fabric but isn't pleather.
Yea the only stuff that’s probably pleather are the straps, though that’s still a decent amount of pleather. But they seem be pretty durable.

EDIT: here are some mediocre at best pics 😅

I tried to also take some close ups on how I used the rubber string

You have a Depp shrine too :lol

I don’t have Wizard Depp, but do have a couple of Mad Hatters Depps. Sold Tonto Depp.

Scissors Depp still looks like a nightmare.

I do! Will hopefully have them more spread out when I get the chance to make or buy some custom shelving.

I also had the two medicom Max Hatters at one point on slim TrueTypes (both haired and repainted by Jacob Rahmier before he was as popular as he is now), but sold them many years ago along with Tonto and a customized medicom Willy Wonka. I used to also have a figure of Depp himself.

I also have a 12” customized Victor Van Dort from Corpse Bride.

I still hope someone eventually makes a better Mad Hatter and Willy Wonka like they have with this Edward Scissorhands.

As for being a nightmare-i didn’t have the trouble with the straps like others did and if you don’t take the hands off, you should be fine. I don’t think it’s necessary to adds the rubber string if you don’t want to. My OCD made me do it 😅 but all was said and done, he is pretty impressive on the shelf

Where the buckle pin passes through the leather, is that damage? Looks like the holes might be stretched and leather hanging over the buckles on each.

If you’re referring to the chest straps, those are already pre-installed on the figure. But they’re not damaged. Maybe stretched a little due to how tight fitting they are but nothing has been damaged that I can see

Yeah, guess it’s the chest straps. On my phone, but I’ll attach what I mean.

Yea, it’s just my bad photos. As I said before, I don’t take great pics which is why I normally don’t post any 😅 Here’s a better look at the chest straps and buckles. As you can see, the straps, buckles and holes in the strap for the buckle prongs are fine with no damage. Nothing to worry about

This figure looks great (cantonese speaker review), can't wait to get mine.
BTW, to able to put on those tricky belts on its left leg, he actually took off the shoe and part of the boot first...

Not a bad look at how to put it together, but jeez, that background sucks all the detail out of the figure!
