Yeah this figure looks really cool, but the likeness feels off. And with the premium price of Hot toys i feel like it needs to be pretty much dead on to justify the price. But maybe ive just gotten too used to hot toys and the wow factor doesnt pop as much. But again this figure does look cool

I don't hate the head sculpt, but could use some changes, which I'm sure they'll do.

Having Mace Windu actually up for order just gets me excited. I'll ignore the inaccurate clone armor, but allows you to change up the display a bit. I know I'll be using them on occasion.

So in 3 days its ROTJ's 40 anniversary?

They'll probably start in May with May the 4th, like they did with AoTC.

Hoping they spoil us like they did with AoTC.

The sculpt isn't a home run but I don't know where the idea that it's off are coming from. I think people are maybe forgetting this is supposed to look like Jackson from 20 years ago. The animated style clone armor is odd considering it matches absolutely nothing they've made otherwise, but it'll never even be removed from the box once for me, so I don't care.

Personally, I couldn't be more excited for this. One of the last characters I felt I absolutely need for my collection. Now just to hope for more Clone Troopers, Imperial Officers, Cassian Andor and Wedge Antilles.

Yeah, I'm not getting all the carping about the portrait either. Of course it's not perfect. It's the typical well-crafted, reallly good from some angles and off from others effort we should be more than used to from HT by now. It may go through some adjustments prior to production, but if it doesn't, I'm gonna be happy to have this figure retire my Sideshow version from my display. It looks great.

At first I was disappointed that we weren't getting the rolling eyes with this one, but there's no hair to pop off to get to them and it looks like a one-piece neck. I'll take that over a clunky eye-snagging seam at the neck and endure the static expression to have that clean neck line.

So far, it's reminding me of when Qui-Gon was first shown. A lot of complaining about the portrait, the stiff sculpted hair limiting the posing options, but we ended up with a great looking solid figure. I'm confident we'll see the same thing here.

Only questions remaining for now is how much and how long? :)

The huge head reminds me of their first nick fury figure.

I'll get this but I'm not preordering it and to be quite frank, it isnt a huge leap from sideshows 13 year old(?) figure from the neck down.

So in 3 days its ROTJ's 40 anniversary?

It would be nice if hot Toys were to proceed in a similar fashion as they did for AOTC 20th anniversary. Two waves centered around ROTJ characters, ideally all new ones. See you in May for an announcement.

I think itā€™s mainly the eyes that are throwing it off for me because the profile shots look really good. HT might tweak it before production though. Itā€™s not horrible but it doesnā€™t scream 1999 SLJ to me either. Overall its nice to finally see HT making this.

Finally! After years and years and years of having the SSC version, Hot Toys Mace Windu comes home! (in a few more short years)

Really cool they added in the Clone Wars armor. I now have the question of where do I put Mace? With so many AOTC figures releasing and The Clone Wars releases we have been getting, my PT display is about to go from one large group atop two double bestas to double besta display for Clone Wars, with TPM/AOTC/ROTS each getting a dedicated besta. Should he go on the AOTC shelf? ROTS shelf (wouldnā€™t mind trying to make some sith lightning and have him blocking it) Clone Wars shelf with the armor? Iā€™m tempted to grab 2-3 now :lol

The 2nd Nick Fury headsculpt from Hot Toys bears a much stronger resemblance to SLJ than this new Mace sculpt. Really not impressed with it!
