It certainly looks like mk42, 43 Tony’s helmeted sculpt.
Just as the new mark 4 diecast figure seems to have the same sculpt from the Tony Stark Arc Reactor creation figure from IM2.

"Newly developed helmeted head sculpt with authentic likeness of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark"

Not that I care that much, but it doesn't seem newly developed. Maybe new paint job.

I think I'll be getting this.

I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed. I'll get it either way, because this is among my favorite suits. But something was lost on the way to the production version. I don't know if it's the brighter glossy read paint, or the seemingly narrowed hips/proportions. I definitely don't like how shiny they're taking that red, when they really nailed the film version red in the proto. It just seems less solid somehow than the prototype.

A lot of that is due to the photography. If you look at the huge lighting sources hitting the chest and midsection, it will lighten and wash a subject greatly. There is a tremendous amount of light source on these blogger pics. Look at the gantry in the above pic, you cant even distinguish a color to it because of the overexposed lighting.

The Hot Toys pic has no focused light and also tremendous post processing on the image. I think you will see a lighter and much less shiny piece in hand.

In the video the red looks a bit closer to the prototype.

Yeah I had that same thought too. Its looking much more candy apple red now compared to the more muted red of before, and it just doesn't feel quite as accurate anymore. But then as others have said, you can't always trust some of these early blogger pics and it could look a lot better in hand with more natural lighting.

The blogger pics have a lot of flood lighting and post-production applied. Not too worried.

Couple of my favourite pics.

I am kinda disappointed with the head sculpt and the stand. Wish they went for something like the War Machine mark 1. But the figure itself looks pretty stellar.

This one is the Avengers version though. Doesnt make sense to have something like the WM Mk1. The plastic MK VI was from IM2. You can just buy a parted out base.

It's a combo of the IM2 and Avengers suit. The BD parts are the same as the IM2 version and the laser things are from the final battle of IM2. The base is Avengers but i have a extra IM2 base that i will use and matches my WM base.

The 'One off' is also used in the Avengers when Tony was trying to restart the engine on the helicarrier. Red.jpg
