I haven't spent enough time on my Blondie (I know, I know) but at first fiddle I tried to get the poncho like that and I was like, "yea... this is gonna take some time". That tutorial will motivate me to pay more attention to my MWNN!!!

You and me both, brother. I was looking at pics, and trying to match patterns, and it was like a chimp trying to solve a Rubik's cube.:lol

Looks great there though. Good poses :clap

I appreciate that, thanks buddy:hi5:

I don't dive into custom stuff very often for various reasons, however I couldn't let this one pass me by, there's not likely to be a better Eastwood in the near future, so if your a fan this needs to be in your collection. The creation of this piece was the result of a perfect storm, not likely to happen again, glad to have it:)

Couldn't agree more, sir. I firmly believe that this is the definitive Blondie figure (I know that people say "nothing's definitive" in this hobby, but I really don't think that, as a whole, this can be topped). Those are some fantastic pics, by the way. Nothing to off-set controversy like some good "figure appreciation.":lol

Thanks for the nice words,

I will say this, I enjoy this hobby, it relaxes me, its cool, its fun and 1/6 figures these days F'ing rock. I like to enjoy my hobby by collecting cool stuff, talking with folks who are like minded, fellow collectors. I don't feed on all this controversy, I hate it, but I do call things as I see them.

I know I don't have many friends on this side of the tracks(custom creations) I hang in the aliens & robots, marvel, DC, general and some horror sections mainly, My collection consists of 90% Hot toys as I find them to be the best out there. Back to my point, I knew giving my opinion on the matter would make me a target, I walked into the hornets nest and said my piece which I stand by, there are others who feel the same way but wouldn't dare speak up for fear of the being attacked, infracted, or even banned.

Dave stepped in, its over but not resolved. I done with the topic for now and want to go back to enjoying the hobby.

I hope someone does try to top it so I can get a hatless sculpt.

Excellent post brother. Love those pics too, but you need to take some more and show off all the new upgrades :wink1:

Thanks DA:duff

I know I've been slacking, I've started to rearrange the ever growing collection today, need more time off to really get it done, Its time for some pieces to go back into there boxes to make room. I'll get to it.......eventually:panic:

BTW if were talking about some of the best photos of blondie, you got to be on the top of that list, your custom work on the gauntlet and custom sculpted snakes on your navy revolver are second to none:clap

...everyones coming out of the woodwork to sell the cowboy. Pretty strange considering the trio is sold out and this is probably one of the top 10 1/6 scale figures ever made..

only a matter of time before the value is driven down by all these sales too for everyone hoping to make a quick buck on it..

The TRIO is SOLD OUT. That's it. ALL open orders have been paid or cancelled. I think in TotalDominAsian case he's taking offers on all his customs. Wants to shift focus to statues based on what i gathered.

A lot of people selling their DX's and when it was the pre order I couldn't get one, because of the stup...d system. And now..

I get it's everyone's right to buy and sell as they see fit, but no wonder so many people hate the customs section. Just reading some of the drama in these threads and how the business is sort of rigged to encourage it is kind of sickening.

My DX is staying where it is too.

Business is rigged to encourage it? How so?
Hm, maybe "rigged" was a poor choice of words and specifics on Cowboy have been argued ad nauseum. Main thing I fault IMINIME on is for having such a small run when the interest was there to go much larger. Don't see how that wouldn't have benefitted everyone. In regards to collectors it just fits the stereotypical image on the board of people scrambling for a supposed "grail" but then selling the first chance they get to make a buck (not referring to your sale, in particular, btw). Anyway, forget I mentioned it. Have just been reading a lot of the customs threads, lately, and let my exasperation with some of the antics get the best of me.

Not sure if you can blame iminime for being cautious. I dont think Denny's goal was to leave people out in the cold. I think he underestimated the demand. Which has steadily gone up with each release as word spreads (however subverted and underground it is) about their releases. I can tell you that future DXs will likely not be limited at pre-order with very few exceptions to avoid just what happened here. Think about it... for every person that sells their DX at a higher value than the original cost is money Denny and team left on the table. This secondary movement doesn't help them financially... well except for building the reputation of Iminime figures both in quality and scarcity... which to be honest can be viewed as a good thing that ANYONE would do for their respective business.
