Word is WB really wanted Bale.

Bet he's holding out for RDJ kinds of money. :mwaha

He made more than bale? per movie I mean.

Excuse my ignorance but I'm not familiar with these numbers.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

If there gonna go older for bats, and considering actors like Brolin, Why on earth wouldnt you just win Bale over. The Money will pay off, and i bet thats somthing they really want.

I would entertain Gosling, Good looks, Incredible actor, and if that is him in that video, Major props to him. People sit back and watch and video tape a fight, he had the b@ll$ to go up and grip the guys up and stop it. he looks pretty tall to. I could see it.

Bale is the worst... that voice and lisp really bother the s*** out of me, lol.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

well you can't really believe all the words you read on the interwebbies. Give me a real quote from a real WB exec, Bale, Snyder, or Nolan about it, then ill believe it...other than that, its all bloggies trying to get page hits :lol

oh wait, I thought WB wanted Ben Afflek? No wait, they wanted JG Levitt...now they want any actor 40ish....oh wait, no its Jon Hamm...Brolin is in Sin City2...so its gotta be him...

"Word is" is good enough proof for me. :lol

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

If Batman is not green, I'm out! Netflix! :gah::lecture:lol

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Rorschach disagrees.

"Looks" in the way of handsomeness is overrated, but "looks" that match the way a character should look, are not.

Jackie Earle Haley ended up looking just like Rorschach in the comics, the character wasn't good looking, but Bruce is supposed to be somewhat good looking, hence what "looks" in all the extend of the word are important in this case.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

It's open slather for Bat casting. :lol

I heard Eric Stonestreet was free..

Haley for CARNAGE please, he would make a most excellent Cletus Kasady, as Rorschach made plain.

Don't want to see him as batman, this guy deserves serious supervillain status.

Who am I kidding, we would never see him as Carnage, that would make way too much sense. They would cast someone like Ashton Kutcher. In fact Kutcher as Batman is not out of the realm of possibility.

Please NO! A buffoon as Batman would be terrible, Clooney may of phoned it in but atleast he has some acting credibility

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Hahahahahahahaha!!!! Yeah, Ashton Kutcher and Batman deserve each other! :rotfl

Nah, really... I don't like Batman, and I don't like that they want to take "The Dark Knight Returns", a clearly Pro-Batman/Anti-Superman story written by a celebrated Bat-fan, into the basis for the next Superman movie. It stinks, IMO. A lot!

I rather they made something more along the lines of "For the man who had everything", which IS a Superman story, DOES feature Batman as a co-star, and it uses a Superman villain that was never before used for a movie.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

If Bale doesn't return then I hope they get Hugh Jackman.

You can get anyone to look like anyone. Looks don't and will continue not to mean ****.

Sorry, Ron Pearlman doesn't look a single thng like Hellboy, and yet....

And hell, Hugh Jackman. There you go. Perfect Wolverine.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Bad examples.

1. Pearlman does look like Hellboy, they basically shaved his brows and painted him red and that was it.
2. Hugh Jackman kind looks like Wolverine already, he does the job.

In this case, looks do matter.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Hey! Let's play at this! :)

Alfred Molina looked nothing like Doc Ock, but he worked great.

Sean Connery didn't really look like how James Bond was described in Ian Fleming's novels, but nobody cares. He's THE legendary Bond, bar none.

Kevin Conroy doesn't look like Bruce Wayne at all, but he's still the best Batman ever. Of course, he's a voice actor.

Did Heath Ledger look like Joker at all? In fact, they completely re-invented the character for him, it certainly wasn't the Joker from the comics, and it's nonetheless one of the best Joker ever made outside of comics.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

What? Molina was identical to Dr. Octavious, the only thing missing was his shroom haircut.

With a character like Bond you have more liberties, still wasn't too far away from what Ian Fleming wanted, he had the basic features.

Don't even know why mention Conroy :lol As iconic as he is, he will NEVER play batman in a live action movie, know why? His looks, you just proved my point there.

Heath Ledger was a reinvention of the character, in the spirit of the Nolan Trilogy, but that's a different issue, that's a character that's wearing make up, you have a wider threshold, far more people could play the Joker than Batman.
