Mobile figure and rubber suit.

:D

When it says bending legs it means that the legs are in a bent position. From what I can tell, the figure is plastic with a posable head and switch out legs. No rubber

Is theRe any hard details on whether the Tron Suit is rubber or hard plastic?

I'm worried about the leaking issues on previous rubber suits, and since there is almost no articulation on the body i dont see why it cant be hard plastic if its not.

Why would they give an interchangable left for riding and one for parking when you could just bend the leg, surely this means the legs and figure is immovable, thus the need for the different legs.

How come SSC hasnt updated the release date to 2012?

My understanding is that the suit is plastic. The figure as detailed in the description on Side Shows website states that it has an interchangeable leg.

The Sam Flynn with Light Cycle Collectible Figure Set features:

* Two (2) hand-painted, switch-out heads including:
* One (1) with authentic likeness of Garrett Hedlund as Sam Flynn
* One (1) with helmet
* Body with PARTIAL articulation
* Movie-accurate facial expression with detailed hair and skin texture
* One (1) pair of gloved palms for driving Light Cycle
* Switch-out legs including:
* One (1) pair of bending legs for riding position
* One (1) additional left leg for breaking position

* One (1) black Tron Warrior suit with LED light-up function (white light, battery operated) with data disc at the back (not removable)*
* One (1) pair of undetachable black-color boots
* One (1) black helmet
* One (1) 1/6th scale Light Cycle with LED light-up function (white light, battery operated)**

The partial articulation as listed above I would bet includes head movement, and interchangeable legs only. Even in the "parked" photos of the bike the only difference is the head sculpt, and the braking leg. So unless the most recent delay is related to something other than the lighting situation, then maybe Hot Toys is making some changes we are not aware of. I would think that an all poseable figure would only add more interest to this piece, and Hot Toys would release a statement as such. Also if you look closely at photos that were taken in Hong Kong of the actual prototype the seem that connects the two halves of the body run all the way through the figure. That tells me hard plastic, and mostly a static figure.

As for Side Show updating info on their website. When I replaced my order yesterday on the phone I asked that same question. They advised that until they get official word from Hot Toys they are not adjusting the shipping details. If there is a need for the push back date then they will update their site, and any flex pay schedules. The first flex pay withdraw is July 25th, then August, then Sept 25th. So any delay or not this figure is not shipping until after September.

It's much easier for them to do a plastic body with the lighting and it allows them to sculpt it nicer, which is why it's not rubber anywhere.

The shifting their production schedule the want to focus on these new licenses get the stuff out while it is fresh in peoples mind the can push this out later since it is already out not to mention a rubber suit figure that light up will be a lot more difficult to make hence why this guy can not move
