It really doesn't make any sense bc if they don't have Jill bc of RE1 liscense then they couldn't make Wesker or Chris either

That's what I thought when I saw the '2 VS 2'. It may also be interpreted as Wesker & Bird Outfit Jill against Chris & Sheva. Maybe? I still don't fully trust that article......

Here is the entire article translated more or less:

When Hot Toys announced the RE5 line earlier collectors speculated that we would get more than Chris and Sheva. Wesker was also a strong possibility with him being the main antagonist throughout the RE series. The question was would another RE veteran, Jill, get made? We would then be able to have the 2 on 2 fight scene that takes part in the later part of the game. The final answer is going to disappoint a lot of fans because the rights to Jill is held by the first RE game. Therefore, Wesker is going to be on his own for now. But given his super human powers and secret weapons, he is going to be more popular than the protagonists.

That's all there is...no explanation whatsoever. I know it makes no sense since Wesker and Chris was also introduced in RE1 but the article sounds legit. Maybe the creator of Jill didn't get paid enough?? But Jill's rights should belong to Capcom right? Whatever the reason I wouldn't get your hopes too high for Jill.
