I know the prototype for the BvS Batman was pretty bad (and fat),

I wonder if this likeness issue was Affleck's final f*ck you to WB after the **** they've put him through with the DC universe. They probably offered him too much money to turn down the movie, even for a few minutes of screen time. Especially not doing any scenes in the suit. Seems like he half-assed it this time, but agreed just to salvage whatever dignity his take on the character has left. Knowing HT they'll release this monstrosity and then a year later we'll have a 2.0 with "upgrades" :slap

Yeah that is an overwrought mess.
Anyone want to photochop away all the hideous excessive honeycombing apparatus and straps, might look half decent.
Re: just quickly took off minimum some of the excessive honeycombing gear and strap nonsense, not helping that much. Lots of the needlessly overwrought armor still needs to go, or be worked better into the suit.

That's a start. I feel this would really be better if all the armor and straps actually matched the suit color. Even if they kept the honeycomb patterns those could have been a fabric mesh that matched the suit (with the added benefit of being less bulky). It's like they forgot that Batman works mainly at night and that stealth is one of his main attributes. You could cut Snyder some slack for the Batfleck Tactical Suit because he was going to war as the only combatant without superpowers, but even with its added armor it was quite streamlined & inconspicuous compared to this thing. It's like the showrunners started with that suit and said "OK, how can we make it even more gaudy/eye-catching?"

Just make the honeycomb more narrow, especially te one on the legs and it would be much better.

Any chance you have a better-looking suit there too?
Sorry no.

Hey Lucky, any chance you could do a run on an "Affleck" faceplate to fit the Hot Toys cowl/head as an option to the full cowl with glasses option ?

Given the look of this figure release, probably a lot of takers to want to fit an Affleck faceplate.

We'll have to see when the figure is released. Still long way to go.

Anyone have any thoughts on why Hot Toys made this Batcycle undersized?

Again, the cycle is not tiny, but why would they intentionally make it smaller than it is supposed to be? If Joost was making this Batcycle, I’m sure it would have the correct proportions.

I think it looks significantly better without the “honeycomb” pieces. If the connection between the cowl and cape were smoothed out also, this costume would be really nice looking! Those changes would allow me to focus on how cool the grey and blue look on this.

Yes, it is under scaled. Would love to see Joost take on the "movie accurate" version of the bike.

Brother can you please remove the ab, bicep and thigh armor as well?

100%

Sure it would cost more, but I’m sure it would be much better. Personally I would be willing to pay a bit more for a more accurate better crafted version of this awesome Batcycle.

I could name a few;

1), Available mould press size for pieces.
2). Packaging size and associated postage costs.
3). Typical display sizes (IKEA or other display solution dimensions)
4). Simply aesthetic artistic choice
5). Bad scaling ??

I almost missed BvS Batman as I saw those photos and thought that looks terrible !! It was totally off my radar and then I realised way too late they had changed it dramatically.

Wonder if it'll be the same this time ?

All I need to push me over the edge is a Batfleck faceplate.
