Yep! I also remembered he made shutter lens for his homemade suit, so no surprise he put it on this one as well.
Speak of the devil, look who was at the store opening.

This has almost everything we as collectors have been asking Hot Toys to do for a long time with their spider figures. I agree that it doesn’t hit the emotions for me yet because we haven’t seen it in an lot of action on screen but I am very tempted to pick this up because of all the bells and whistles. Regular for me because I never seem to have room for those diorama bases.

Looks really, really good.....
Also this is up on KGHobby for what seems like a good price - am I missing a trick here or is the price as good as it looks?

That suit is just awesome, really hope they keep it for a bit in the MCU (I know, wishful thinking)...
as I would not change a thing with this look.

On the opposite end, I still hate the fact that they wiped away Ned and MJ knowing who he is
and this suit is a hard reminder of that, lol.

Yeah, I hope they use it in the next Spidey movie. PP doesn't have the resources to keep making new suits!

Toby had almost the same exact Spidey costume in 4 movies, Garfield in 2, and Holland wore the HC suit in a handful of films. I'd say chances are good Sony will want to keep this outfit around for awhile. Especially since like I mentioned before, it's basically an homage of all of the best parts of all three costumes.

Worst case scenario, we probably won't see Holland again as Peter until a few more years so plenty of time to enjoy this version on our shelves until then.

I love the colors of the suit and the sculpt is fantastic!!!!

Again for me the stumbling block is maintaining my one figure per character rule, and I already have the Infinity War Iron Spider Suit.

The new one is definitely much more of a classic look with new details and textures. This seems to be very close to a “definitive” look for a collector like me. I try to get whichever version overall seems most representative of a given character.

That said, the Iron Spider is a powerful and cool looking suit in its own right, and it has been featured in 4 films already.

Decisions, decisions …

The price seems good, but doesn't include shipping which is $70 to Oz. That's still a lot better than Sideshow for me by over 20%.
Yeah - just did the maths, with shipping and customs to my country etc - buying this from KGHobby (never been hit with customs from them) would be £130 cheaper than Sideshow....
Really changes things on whether to buy this guy or the Classic suit..

Just done some more maths and now the difference in price between the Classic Spidey from Sideshow I got with the Black Friday deal and this new Spidey suit from KGHobby is only £32

For an extra £32 I would be getting a damn good Holland head sculpt and a superior diorama base....

Indeed! I always face the same dilemma when buying from Sideshow. The BOGO deal basically made two figures the same price I'd be able to buy two figures locally due to the DHL only shipping and the 10% GST (goods and services tax) they put on to the total - I'm not sure why postage also incurs the 10% tax.

In Australia, we only get hit with import tax if the item is over $1k AUD (~$660 USD).
I'd pick this figure over the classic Spidey, which I had but returned due to the spider on the back being misaligned. I wasn't compelled for a swap and got a refund. I do like the old school spider on the back, rather than the stylised one on this MCU figure, but the MCU wins in all other aspects.

Its crazy how much these sort of costs can add ontop of a figure - to the point that something I originally thought of as a relative bargain becomes quite expensive.
Completely agree.
I've cancelled my Classic Spidey figure and gone with this chap from KGHobby - the suit, diorama and the inclusion of the head sculpt all scream quality to me in a way that the other figure doesn't to the same extent (as nice as it still looks).
The new perspective on the price has completely changed the balance of my judgement between these two and sort of given me "permission" to buy the deluxe of this figure - if they are coming to nearly the same price then this MCU figure is, in my opinion, the clear winner.
Feeling pretty happy with my choice - I've waited this long for the Spidey of my collection - I'm happy to wait a little longer.

You should also add another 4+ months to that wait when buying from KG as they are one of the last to receive HT stock.
So long as you’re ok to see the rest of the forum receive, review, damage, receive replacements, upgrade, discuss, display and move on from this figure long before yours shows up then KG are worth using for saving money.

The price you pay on saving money with them is that you aren’t really part of the communal experience of new releases.
