Michael, Saru, and Pike look great. TNG Picard is also great. Would love to see Kelvin Timeline Kirk and Spock. Hoping to see old man Picard too.

The figures with rooted hair, should probably be sculpted, even if it interferes with articulation. The rooted hair really takes them down a notch.
Agreed. It kinda works on Kruge, but even that figure I think would work much better with sculpted hair.

Personally I prefer for the hair to be sculpted whenever possible. Rooted is harder to maintain and to me it looks out of place when 90% of the figures have sculpted hair. Don’t get me wrong a head sculpt with well done rooted and styled hair can bring the realism up a notch but I am no good at styling and even if I could pull it out the figures right next to it would most likely have sculpted hair. It’s one of the issues I have with the Asmus LOTR line. I end up separating the rooted ones from the sculpted in different displays.

This is a bigger deluge than Hot Toys have ever dropped at once. Hard to pick what I'm gonna get.

A new shot of Khan?

Looks great. Although again wish we had the Seti-Alpha nomad; cloak , head gear (turban and googles).
Really need a EXO-6 WoK Kirk to go with.
And while a fine looking "captain on the bridge" moment sculpt.
Not sure what this^ was? but way to friendly
WoK Kirk needs much more of an intense look, to face off against Khan.
Or if to be staged opposite Spock in the warp-drive chamber.

Pike looks great and I agree on both Michael and Saru - I'm mainly planning on just collecting Captains with a few exceptions so I kind of wish Saru was the Captain variant - though saying that he could have an alternate jacket which would be perfect.

With the hair I agree, Hot Toys have pretty much moved away from rooted hair though I honesty the only one of the three currently offered I'm interested in is Kruge and while I think he’d be perfect with sculpted hair as it’s pretty short he’s also the best looking one at least in my opinion.

I feel comfortable removing Khan's wig and doing my own rooted hair, so i'm not at all concerned with the hair. But this rooted hair looks poorly thrown on, it needs a little attention from a comb, some water, and some hair spray. I get that people prefer not to have to fiddle with things, but IMO well done rooted hair is miles better than sculpted hair. Its the "well done" part that is sometimes hard to achieve. The fur on the Khan boots on the QMx proto look better than the plastic sculpted fur on the EXO proto.

I'm completely blown away by the reveals. Quark looks amazing!

But one notable omission - will there be Lower Decks figures? The Sideshow Clone Wars releases have me hankering for a 1/6 Mariner!

...and the furry boots.

Oh, I missed that. I do like the real furry boot tops better, yeah.

So now its more clear why there's so damn many figures revealed at the show... Nanjin's been busy for a very long time. He probably has another 40 figures in various stages of completion...

I know this might sound odd, especially as I say that WoK is not just one of my favourite Star Trek movies but favourite movies in general, but for me the interesting thing on the photo is the TNG era Phaser and Phaser rifle bottom right 😂

It's surreal.

The Wrath of Khan is 40 years old this year.

That's 4 decades. We've seen figures over the years in smaller scales, customs and bootlegs.

But we're finally, finally getting Jim, Spock and Bones in definitive quality on the movie's birthday. It's an amazing feeling.

Just wanted to share, I'm watching the film right now and I've had a few drinks to celebrate this landmark moment in Trek collecting history.

Any solid info on the release dates? I'm torn between TWOK & TOS Kirk/Spock. If they're indeed coming 2023 and later, I have time, as that will be a much more empty year for me (Kang, Thrawn, Ashoka, maybe Star-Lord and High Evolutionary are the only things I can come up with ATM, assuming F4 is slated for 2024 and not counting any surprises or reissues) so I'll easily be able to afford them, even with the taxes and everything.
