I think it will be better than Batman Begins. Not better than TDK, imo. Unless the Riddler is just so great that the Joker is not needed to elevate the film.
The sequel to this film certainly will have the potential to be as good or better than TDK tho.
Well the TDK Joker performance might never be topped. The entire movie can. Not like Harvey Dent nor Batman's voice were outstanding.

I wonder if the final upside down shot of Batman is to mimic how Bats hang upside down? 
the trailer definitely is intriguing but is it wrong of me to think I’m kind of annoyed with the fact that all Batman movies moving forward just go under the multiverse scenario…meaning “ Oh this is just another Batman from a different earth “
Although the Multiverse will be the nucleus Of every DC movie from now on , I feel the originality and creativity of the dc movies I grew up with is gone

During this multiverse stuff, people are going to be pretty tired of it as you can rewrite anything. They are doing the nostalgia stuff first to get you to buy in. I get your point though. I've heard talk that this is DCEU Earth 2, but haven't seen that confirmed anywhere.
It’s a shame that Marvel is doing the same thing . IMO superhero movies in the future in general will lose the magic of creativity
