Exactly. Not sure why so many people are confused by the business sense here. :lol

Not confused. We understand it makes sense for them to push this out early because I?m sure they have a Season 2 figure of Mando (besides the one with the speeder) they?ll be releasing (possibly one with a Pascal head sculpt). I just wanted a ?break? from Mando, since the pre-Beskar upgrade one just got release a few months ago. It would?ve been nice to see another Mandalorian on the shelf besides Mando and Boba. I?m more excited about Heavy Infantry Mando because he?s the first Mandalorian Hot Toys figure that will be released that isn?t Boba Fett or Din Djarin.

I had concerns about the finish on the beskar but it looks pretty good here. Still not quite as reflective as it ought to be, but better this than accidentally going full chrome. I?ve ruled out paying the extra $55 for the deluxe so I might be the only person happy to see a review of the standard edition to see exactly what he includes.

Yeah I'd still prefer the armor be a bit more reflective, but based on that review I can probably live with it as is. And I'm not really seeing an issue with the flight suit color either. Maybe in some shots it appears a bit more brown, but in the majority of pics it look to me like the same dark gray as on the figure. And it seems like a perfect match for the color in this Season 2 shot:

Okay, this might not be the best place to ask this but here it goes:
I am struggling with whether to buy this figure or not and would like people's 2 cents.

I have (shamefully) never been a huge Star Wars fan - I just never grew up on it, but I always thought the characters looked really cool, especially the villains like Vader, Dooku, Tarkin and the Emperor.
However I have just binged The Mandalorian and I love it - its just a really great show and I'm enjoying every second, so much so I am considering going back and seeing if I appreciate the other movies on a second viewing. (I have to confess I wasn't a fan of the new Disney trilogy when I watched it with some friends - the story seemed all over the place).
So consequently, this figure was already kind of tempting me, and when I saw just how chock full of accessories and goodies the deluxe version comes with this figure is now really tempting me on a character and collector level.

However, space is getting super limited in my collection, I have a tonne of pre-orders already, my funds are on the verge of becoming stretched and I'm worried about this being a "rabbit-hole" figure that has me collecting a whole new line as I have no other Star Wars figures in the collection.

What do we think? I would ask the people in my life but they oscillate wildly between "I have no idea why you have this hobby" to "DO IT. SPEND ALL THE MONEY", so I though I'd ask people who'd be a little more balanced in their judgement. :rotfl

If you really love this show, there's no better reason.

As for rabbit-holes, I don't go there, since I'm not even close to a completionist. You could represent the entire show with just Din and his little green friend.

If you feel compelled to get more, I'd make some tough decisions and jettison figures you love less.

Yeah I think the flight suit is fine. I actually though the brown on the prototype looked way off. Looking back on the prisoner transport episode on season 1 it seems to be more this color. I much prefer this look

Don't buy it, and if you wind up regretting it, I'll sell you mine for a reasonable price above retail when I get the season 3 version.

This place is full of enablers, so I say do it.

This is like asking the owner of your favorite bar to be your AA sponsor...

Do it.

And by the way, I just paid off the balance on this one at SS so that they will ship it out ASAP.

Favreau & Filoni: Our job is done *wringing there hands menacingly*

SSFreaks: Just get it. It?s only 1 Star Wars figure :devil

Id say go for it. You only live once. I was debating between this and the next one with the bike. Now after weighing everything, I really prefer this one. The deluxe with the pram. I think it’ll look great as a display piece.
