Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Please:
- No more Affleck
- No Josh Gad as Penguin
- No more Eisenberg as Luthor

Your wishes may be granted as this is a younger batman, I'm looking forward to this one as there will be more detective skills

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I loved Affleck as Batman and will miss him in that role. It was the killing and overall story elements that just killed it for him. He deserved better!

However, hearing how the new Batman will be sounds intriguing. Rogue's Gallery will be good for the movie. Would be cool if we got traditional characters like Penguin and Two-Face during an investigation then lead to the real bad of the movie like a Clayface or Riddler. Riddler could be awesome if done right. Give Cumberbatch the role!

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I'm trying not to get too excited as I know how I'd like it to turn out and don't want to be disappointed, however what reeves is saying makes me very hopeful he'll deliver. Wonder who will play batman...

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I am gutted but happy at the same time that all this has been planned they have a vision and are going in a steady direction with no knee jerk reactions.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Lol nah he’s gone. Hopefully joker will be replaced aswell

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I remember the outrage when Affleck was cast as Batman. Now the tears are a flowin:lol

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Ben Affleck is the 2010s Val Kilmer/Clooney. He had a good look, but the films were universally panned...and already forgotten by the public. His Batman will be barely remembered as a weird period, an experimental time, maybe a wasted opportunity, a dark period, with few bright spots, like Aquaman, at least financially, and WW. Cavill's Superman is looking to have a similar fate as Sadffleck, ironically the one thing that might have a lasting mark, a meme, and both Cavill and Ben are in it and forever linked.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Battfleck will not be forgotten that warehouse scene is in my opinion the best action sequence in comic book history.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

As for the new Bat film, dont care about it. I've gotten everything Ive want out of Batman on film, in bits and pieces. Burton and Nolan gave me most of it. Batffleck gave me the fighting in one scene and comic costume, and Batman Forever...the ridler and a cool two face coin. The only thing this new Bat film can do is give me the classic neil adams costume, but it won't.

That was an awesome scene, especially compared to the Nolan fight scenes. The TDKR fight on the rooftop between Batman/Selina and Bane's goons was particularly woeful - those armed thugs were so polite, waiting to take their turn to get beat up.:slap

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Yeah... sad to see Affleck go, but it’s probably for the best anyway.
