Now that the game is officially announced we can disscuss more.

Release sometime next year. Journalists will have a better grasp of how the mechanics work after the showroom live demos.(After the disappointing stage demo...)

The artstyle they went with is absolutely perfect. Always have been a big fan of The Wind Waker, and this is a kickass evolution of that style. Title is a bit odd though.

Finally watched the trailer. Game looks great to me. Just need to get some spare $$ to buy another Wii.

I think the graphics are great! And it's a wise choice for Nintendo. Cartoony, stylized graphics can stand the test of time. Wind Waker still looks good to this day, while Twilight Princess already looks old. By making Skyward Sword stylized, they can work around the limitations of the Wii's low graphics capabilities.

They do say that the demonstration was not good, but the game plays well without any weird glitches or occurances like in the demo. Shigeru Miyamoto just isn't a good gamer. Sadly.

+1 about the stylized visuals. At first I really thought they lost their mind when they came out with the "cartoon" Zelda games, but now when playing them I see that they really hold up well and the gameplay is really where the creators placed importance.
