Excellent! How is it?
It's ok , way better than previous release of BlackBox that's for sure, but if you ask me, it still needs a better paint job overall

Don't get me wrong it's a great james (the best sculpt of BB yet) specially if you didn't have the chance to grab one of does great custom sculpts, but on the other hand if you already have a great custom then it's a complete waste of time and money because it's not painted as good as in the promo pics

Is the head made of squishy rubber?

Eh, it's about what I expected from Blackbox. The sculpt seems to have been very slightly improved, but is still far too narrow for Craig. And the suit is nowhere near as nice as it should be. Although maybe it can be ironed and straightened up a bit more.

The head can be heated and squished to shape. I used a hair dryer and then ran it under a cold tap once I was happy with the shape.

That's an earlier head but you can see what can be achieved.

Marine Boy, I am transfixed with your creations! Have you finished painting your wetbike? I'm curious what electronic machine gun you end up using. I've been doing research for my own Bond project, and here's just one option, Dr. Mad Thrust line of electronic RC add-ons:

Dr Mad Thrust Machine Gun Effect LED Unit, $3.39
SKU: 9107000181

Dr Mad Thrust Machine Gun Effect Sound Unit w/Speaker, $8.51
SKU: 9107000190

Dr. Mad Thrust series 5A HV BEC with Inbuilt Aux Controlled On/Off Switch for Accs, $15.46
SKU: 107000171

I don't know if the prices are current, but a few RC online stores sell them, including Ebay.

Thanks for the links, i will take a look. I was planning to just take the innards out of a toy gun or similar. Nothing too fancy. The Wetbike just needs it's stickers doing, which i'm drawing up.

Today's progress, making the framework around the fuel tank. I've ordered some RC aircraft wheels and a propeller.

Here is my version of Bond but again this
Is a custom suit and probably much more.

The Blackbox suit looks like they are not even
really trying to make it look good

Wow!

You must have gone over that assembly scene in You Only Live Twice frame by frame!

Certainly did! It was very useful to see the structure before all the outer bits were added.

Made the flame guns / smoke ejectors.

Added detail around the gun barrels.

Re-watched Casino Royal last night for the first time since it came out in 2006. Forgot how great it was! Inspired me to kit bash a Craig Bond from odds and ends in my collection. Glad I had the shades. The sculpt looks a bit too much like Dr. Fauci without them.

Made the 2 A-A missiles. I've pinned all the fins for strength and glued 2 nuts inside, so i can attach them with magnets.

ln020.jpg

Small magnets are glued to the launch rails.

ln021.jpg

Made the rotor head. I've hidden a small electric motor inside, to turn the blades.

The RC plane wheels i ordered came in, so i was able to attach them and make the nosewheel gear. The prop i ordered was a standard one, whereas i need a pusher. Even though it's not a flying model, i still want to get it right.

ln023.jpg

I hope once the engine and flameguns are added, it will have the correct tail heavy stance.

ln025.jpg

I may have to rethink the magnetic missile rails. They stay on, but just barely.
