Re: Hot Toys Superman

So I guess this thread will just meander along until we see the product specs sometime in December :lol

BTW, got a great laugh out of someone comparing this release to the DX Joker :lol Ledger Joker fanboyism really knows no bounds.

There's probably as many Joker name variants on the board now than Darth :lol

If there was the level of internet community in 1978 that there is now, I'm sure you'd be saying the same about keaton as batman. Just cause the movie is 2 years old doesn't mean it should be less relevant in our pop culture.

But yeah, my favorite is when the joker names incorporate a toy company in it. like hot_joker or dx_joker. hotdix_joker.

Seeing all this superman stuff made me remember that I really liked Christopher Reeves when I was growing up.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Too late. Been high for a while now, but yeah gonna get worse.

I hope they make a black one though. I would think HT would capitalize on this though and make another or a Lex/Zod something or rather.

Yea, the black judge outfit would rock.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Better get Jor-el while you can, once Reeve Superman comes out he will be impossible to find cheap.

I'm actually tempted to get a Jor-El, however I would think that
HT would use this CR Superman release to their advantage in
re-releasing another Jor-El. It only makes sense to release a
more superior Jor-El likeness with accessories and a Donner
Superman box, after all, they did that with the Begins Batman and
multiple Joker releases.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

They may no longer have Brando's rights.

The Godfather Don Corlione HT wasn't so long ago, so this is probably less of a concern. If they re-issue Jor-L I'd rather see them upgrade with a new sculpt etc... HT simply does better work now than they did back then.

Honestly I don't need a whole line of Superman HT. It's not like I would buy the other Daily Planet staffers. I just want to see them do their best work on the CR Superman.

And then Mattle can hang their heads in shame.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

That's the Superman Returns 2 in 1. C'mon man, dont get these guys get excited for nothing, lol.:lol

:lol thought I could fool someone. You killed it.

That was posted on Toy World. It's the 2-in-1, except it looks like they changed the chest emblem (it's fabric in that photo).

Re: Hot Toys Superman

:rotfl
Sorry man, I was just thinking, that would be another 3 to 4 pages of sorting through the info here cause everyone else would be freaking out. ha ha...Nice try though hee hee :)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Not too late for you both to delete your posts up until that picture . . .

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Agreed.
I was sorry to hear they killed that one so fast. They should've given Singer and Routh the chance to make another film and see where they could take it.

Don't see how they could've given Singer another chance. Returns
played out more like a conclusion than a beginning and Singer
painted himself into a corner upon the introduction of super bastard.

I'd prefer if Routh was given another shot, as I really believe he did
a fine job as Superman for what little dialogue he was given. I believe
he could have grew into the role. As for Singer, it shouldn't take a
second film to rectify things, he should have done that with the first
and he blew it by not being original or creative.

I totally forgot about their Vito figure. So hopefully likeness rights
shouldn't be an issue. Granted I definitely can do without the others,
but improving Jor-El and releasing Zod along with Superman would
make for a well rounded line.

I hated that Superman had a kid. Singer just screwed the movie up.
