Oh bummer - did people pay just a % deposit or full amounts for this?
GB always seemed like a super solid and reliable guy and this seems really out of character based on what I'd seen on here.
Is cancelling still an option?

Personally I don't know how anyone can take money and take this much time to do a project. Sure if he was sick etc. But if that's the case inform people what the situation is, or give it to someone else, or I don't know communicate.
Is he no longer a member on here?

I paid a 50% deposit. It would be nice, and appropriate, to get an update or some kind of communication. I had someone on eBay vanish about a year ago after taking a commission as well. I like to support projects like these but I've had some disheartening experiences. It's made me really appreciate the experiences I've had with JazzInc.
