I think most folks are perfectly happy with the first figure. Not to mention something seems off about this version, at least in the early pictures. I know the first figure appears to have different shades of gold but it seems to be much more pronounced on this one.

I'll buy this one and sell the old one. I'm still waiting for diecast MKV and Blue Steel and that will hold me over on Iron Man except for future diecast reissues.

I'm not suppose to like this one as I have the other. What I really want to see is a chrome red and gold or silver.

It does say "the Iron Man Midas Mark XXI (Gold Chrome Version) as an exclusive item only available at our new store for the Asia Pacific region!". So hopefully that means it coming to other markets.

There have been several exclusives that HT said would only be available at specific events or locations that ended up on sideshow... I can't think of very many that haven't, especially lately.

When it says Asia exclusive those don't make sideshow. Copper trooper for example.

This looks really good. I'm struggling with the decision between keeping the old one, or selling it to fund this one.

EDIT: If this doesn't make it to Sideshow, then I guess my decision will be made for me.

Damn, I completely forgot about the copper trooper... I had absolutely no interest in it so it slipped my mind... Oh well.

It might be worth noting that the copper trooper had the asia exclusive hot toys logo on the promo shots, but these 2 do not... Of course they may just not use that logo anymore.

It's in the description. Says it's an Asia hot toys store exclusive

Now it's entirely possible they release it in a different set up, or as the mkvi with swap out parts to make it a mkiv or whatever...just gong by what they said so far.

The Midas is pretty different in appearance.

The mk4 has minor tweaks.

The mark IV appears to be a pared down re-issue, the Midas is an electroplated re-paint.

The mk3 was redone in diecast, included more and was significantly upgraded in articulation. People complained. The mk4 is is a show exclusive, and there was absolutely no way it was going to have more then the first release which was used in two release at once (the standard and the gantry) and it's limited in number so they did minor tweaks and people complain. Lol

The only Iron Man Hot Toy that was never sold by Sideshow was Rose Hill Tony. They have sold all other exclusives, like Red Snapper, Chocolate, Mark III Milk, War Machine Milk, even if under a different name or with different accessories.

I could pass on the Mark IV. But thta Midas looks great. I hope I am able to get that
