I more than happy with my midas. Basically still mint and hardly posed. This is great for the collectors that missed out and don't have to pay those crazy prices for the first one. I'll be upgrading my old mk 4 tho (pink panties)

Not sure i'd say greedy. If you missed these before this is fantastic news. The demand outweighed supply by a ton. It's just another opportunity to meet market demands.

This is definitely a great opportunity for those who missed out if it becomes available on a larger scale ... I can understand people who got the first one to be a bit upset, but thems the breaks... I missed out on this the first time and this one looks better (in that picture at least)

In fact, it was the first midas and python selling out so fast that started forcing me to check in here and sideshow more often and at work... Haven't missed anything since.

I have the first one, but got it at retail, so it's not like I'm going to weep over a couple of hundred dollars. I have no problem with another release because it no longer surprises me and it's possibly I may pick it up. If I do end up liking it I may sell the original Midas, even if it's for a loss because I'm always prepared for that whenever I buy a collectible. I'm not exactly certain why some people have to celebrate when a piece that is selling high in the secondary gets re-released. This happens from time to time, it's just part of the hobby. It's more the folks who bought these at inflated prices that are getting the short end. That's also why I rarely buy pieces at inflated secondary prices, especially Hot Toys.

Of the HPP which is what I meant, yeah it is. Python and Midas command a premium, Peacemaker and Hot Rod just a bit above retail right now.

Trending prices now on the rest- Hearbreaker $70 below retail, Centurion $70 below retail, Starboost $50 below retail, Igor $150 below retail, Bones $60 below retail, Striker $60 below retail, Tank $60 below retail, Gamma not even selling enough on ebay to get a price- still available at retail, Mark 9 (via the 2 pack) $60 below retail.

Its just becoming foolish to buy these things at all first hand, and continuing re-releasing things yet again will continue dilute the few desirable figures that there are left.

Silly comment based on no actual facts. Hot toys has re-released or updated figures of iron man since the start. 2 of the first 4 iron man figures where re-release updates of figures. And that turned out so bad that they become the largest 1/6 company, won multiple licensor of the year awards and have quadrupled the size of the business. But sure. Doom and gloom.
